Having Kinggath Creations on this was a great choice.  Hearing from someone who works on the games in the modding world was great.

Some damn good journalism Matty!

cool video idea matty, appreciate the work.

Love the interview format Matty! For us lowly amateur modders, KG is like royalty. I reference his tutorials to this day.

I’m probably in the minority but I started off playing BGS games for the worlds, exploration, etc. Today I play them because I CAN mod them. Like many I bounced off of Oblivion Remastered once it became clear it wouldn’t be possible.

I also wonder what Starfield’s player counts would look like today if BGS had released the tools before everyone discovered the game’s flaws. I feel like if the modding scene for that game started maturing earlier, there’d be a little more positive sentiment towards it today.

This is a great interview, Matty. I love hearing this kind of stuff. Super interesting. And great questions to get those insights from him. I appreciate this one.

Also thank you for just letting him speak and not interrupting his explanations, that was very goated of you

Cool hearing the perspective of someone who understands the technicalities of how and why the creation engine works.  It actually gets me a little more excited for what Elder Scrolls 6 might be.  I know some may say "don't hold your breath" but I would rather be disappointed and have hopeful excitement, than just immediately expect the worse through a nihilistic lense...

This is genuinely such an awesome video Matty!

These interview style videos with people who have more insight or expertise than the average player are incredibly interesting.

I’d say more of these please, and if you could do a stream prior to the interview so your viewers could submit potential questions, that would be extra fun!

This was a nice surprise. It was interesting to see a little bit into how Creation Engine functions

Kinggath is awesome, great interview Matty!
At this point your the only Youtuber that covers Bethesda I actively watch because you provide a objective and mature perspective on how things really are and go the extra mile for additional info.
But ngl, I cant wait to see you grinning from ear to ear and being stupidly hyped when we get more info on the game. <3

As someone that has barely scratched the surface of modding, being to understand all the terminology they used with the process of creating games was amazing. Appreciate the info Matty!

Appreciate the journalism here. That runspeed info is something I had never thought about when applied to Fallout 4.

Amazing video, i thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you Matty.

SS2 is so flippin good. Only thing better is those trailers they made for each new iteration. SO GOOD

39:54 Matty!!! You did not disappoint! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Awesome video, loved the interview style and the way you explained. My weed plants listen to you everyday when I’m watering them, they approve as well. 😂

That's a good format. Good job.

The creations website had a star rating system and comments before paid mods came along. That was replaced with a thumbs-up as the only review option and comments were removed. I’m pretty sure Beth did that to make it harder to tell trash from quality so people may end up accidentally buying the turds before they manage to buy the gold.

14:30 the units were made up for a reason. Back in the days it allowed to compress each vertex to just 3 bytes, the draw order of the vertices was fixed, so you could have very dense flip-book animations. Quake did that, warcraft 3 did that.

33:28 Mern is one of the OG’s. I miss his YouTube videos.
