what book got you almost making a review like this?😗

@Tilly-uz9xx 10 months ago (edited)

if you want spice don't read a YA book

@AvaniAnand-lk2pm 10 months ago

You can hate the book, but don’t hate the author. The book doesn’t have feelings but the author does

@ludacris_speed7159 10 months ago

She was mad that a YA book had no smut…

@weirdcrushfictional 10 months ago

the first girl was literally mad because the main character isn't some maniac who likes killing people? and she's telling other people not to read it just because SHE didn't enjoy it. that's called an opinion, and not everyone has the same one.

@jerseyfanel 10 months ago

A lot of people forget that manners still apply when you're online.

@E7lie 10 months ago

Her saying the book is bad because there’s no smut is insane. I would find no smut refreshing. Like romance books can be great without smut

my only opinion about this topic is that you should NEVER tag an author in reviews, positive or negative. Reviews are from readers to other readers, and if the author wants to see people's opinions for constructive criticism they'll look for it themselves

i could not imagine admitting to skipping and skimming book while giving the most caustic and scathing review.

telling someone "you suck" and saying their book is "like chewbacca took a hot shit in the woods and called it bridgerton" just because you thought the fmc was too nice is so messed up.

I saw people hating on Hayley pham's book . I get it if they don't like her book but they started to drag her personally. Her life,he education background,her relationship,her family problem,her decision, that have nothing to do with criticizing her book . They're just hating

@aleysuarez8217 10 months ago

1:04 “Could’ve made her a total villain, you didn’t. You suck” YOU SUCK?! BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T DO WHAT YOU WANTED?! She’s totally seeking for a reaction, it shows, she did it on purpose to get to someone’s nerve, most likely the author.

I personally dislike sooooo freaking much that kind of people that loves to make others feel bad and want to get their reaction so badly just because, just cause they got bored 🙄

@someone8406 10 months ago

I’m so confused she completely hated the plot and then described what she would have preferred and it was a completely different story.Like did you not read the description and see that it’s a YA book.

@gothic_nix 10 months ago

The girl claiming it's not gothic is so funny to me. I haven't read Belladonna but from the description alone it has all the elements of a book in the gothic genre, an isolated woman who goes to an old place, supernatural elements, and corruption/tragedy through the repeated death of the main character's parental figures. I think the reviewer just didn’t understand what gothic as a genre is.

The one about Hayley Pham feels like it's from the perspective of someone who doesn't like Hayley...

I just love the microphone on the fork 😂

@espada0687 10 months ago

I actually think its okay to call a book trash if you really think its trash. Calling the author trash or bullying rather than criticizing the work isn't ok.

@frantictoast3741 10 months ago (edited)

I try not to call books trash because I know how hard it is to write a compelling narrative with good pacing, interesting characters and a flowing plot. I tend to just say, "eh it wasn't for me"

Edit: the girl in the video can't even say she read the book if she's literally not reading paragraphs and skipping whole chapters.

@ehetenadayo9227 9 months ago

The first girl disliking the MC just because she’s not a “baddass, evil villain with no heart” and having feelings is insane. Like, tf??? I think some people are so obsessed with the idea of “badass girlboss evil” type of main character that a normally functioned one means bad written, not hating on the badass mcs though i do love them, but c’mon, hating on a characters because they have normal human feelings is INSANE😭

@jinawickedwoman4223 10 months ago

Honestly, I think she acted immature and over the top for attention. Sadly, her rudeness and lack of decency is getting her exactly what she wanted. I truly dislike when these type of people make the book community look foolish. We are a great community who respects each other, authors, and individual opinions while being respectful. She is highlighting to the author and publishing world that she is not going to offer proactive criticism.
