Thanks again for having me on the show guys, it was amazing fun!

I know you guys obviously didn't time this, but with the passing of Bryan Ansell today it is nice to hear his influence being talked about on this one.

Jordan needs to be a regular - fits in to the show perfectly!

Jordan is one of my favourite hobby youtubers at the moment (aside from the painting phase of course), his videos and choice of knitwear are always excellent

Good to hear a shout-out to Snipe and Wib in Jordan's influences - definitely contenders for future guests if you can get 'em!

Jordan has such a lovely, expressive charm with his easy smile and soothing voice. An excellent addition to the couch, would love to see you guys chat with him more in the future!

The best intro to the Old World in books is definitely Gotrek and Felix.

You get an immediate intro to the Dwarf and Empire cultures, and due to the format of the series with Gotrek slaying all the various races of the world you are gradually introduced to most of the major factions in the world.

The 'business decisions influencing the minis and lore' bit reminded me of the old story about the Horus Heresy stemming from only being able to afford one mold for the titans, so they decided to do them in two different colours and used 'civil war' as a reason.

This was a great podcast to listen to while I build my kids toys from Christmas ❤

Great episode! Thank you for the mention. Glad you guys enjoyed the stuff. Keep up the great work.

Would love to see how the models look, that Peachy made for him  ;-)

I can't wait for the future episode where you finally get a hold of Jarvis, and spend the entire episode discussing how the old card-based magic system was really inspired by The Room and the first 15 minutes of 2001 Space Odyssey. Then you discuss what kind of pungent, fungal cheese is the closest to what the  night goblin fanatics eat

I loved the gift to Jordan, so kind of Peachy. Great episode, been watching for months now. Keep up the good work!

Guys, that couch needs a breather. What a trooper

The part about the audiobooks is scary... See, I'm an artist and I paint a lot of large scale murals (sides of buildings and such), and the last one took me the latest Lion's novel and all three parts of End-saga. Last year did a really big one where I was able to listen to all the basic Gaunt's series. So, yes: it's definitely a thing...

About the details on a miniature/painting realistically: the key is avoiding the tunnel-vision that inevitably comes with working on a miniature. Because no one will be viewing it from your close perspective. Picking out two or three details that are going to be of visual interest, the same way a painter would do in a painting: guiding the viewer's eye. Because if everything is detail and perfect in focus, actually: nothing is. Which results in messy, crowded paint-jobs.

The way painters get around it generally is with squinting, but there's an easier way: use peripheral vision. Your eye in the middle, is very much detail focused, but the sides are more geared towards recognizing objects/people in a very abstract way. Looking at something you've been working on from the corner of your eye every once in a while helps avoiding that dreaded 'everything must be perfectly layered and detailed'-problem. Holding it upside down does a similar thing as well. It instantly refreshes the way your brain looks at the object. And - and this sounds very simple, but it's actually a big thing when working focused - don't forget to blink. Every blink is your mind briefly  refreshing the short-term input, so staring at something is often very counterproductive. This coming from someone who draws and paints for a living ;)

Great chat

Frak and Feldercarb were both from the original 1970's BSG (I had to check so rewatched my box set!) <3

A wild Jordan Sorcery appears! Great interview!

23:00 lol just took out my Battle of Osgiliath art work print and the cool Middle Earth map side has the barcode on it...

The perfect combo of Jordan Quiz and the interview to end the year with. Plus more importantly an epic shot of Jordan in the video thumbnail looking like he's mid way through casting a spell 😄
