Our last stop on the Dampier Peninsula and this one had us seriously questioning whether we should risk it! 😬
We headed into Barred Creek hoping to get the truck and van right down onto the beach. But with an 11-tonne setup, salt pans to cross and a very skinny track with salt bush closing in on both sides, we weren’t too sure how good of an idea that was going to be.
So we got the quad off, went in for a look and found ourselves a spot on the creek for the night while we decided what we were going to do.
From there we headed about 20km down the road to Quandong Point, and what a spot! We spent five days camped right on the beach with beautiful blue water, amazing sunsets and pretty much the whole place to ourselves.
By this stage we’d been travelling the Dampier Peninsula for weeks and hadn’t seen a supermarket for nearly a month, so supplies were getting pretty low. That meant getting a little creative with what we had left for a cook-up. 😂
This was our last stop on the Dampier Peninsula before we started making our way back towards Darwin, and it was a pretty good way to finish it off.
Thanks for watching and coming along with us!
