Electric Callboy takes on Michael Sembello's 1983 hit "Maniac" from the Flashdance soundtrack, reimagining it as a high-energy electronicore track. This cover was recorded in a single day during a session for Musora, blending the original 80s pop foundation with heavy guitar riffs, dance beats, and massive synths.

As a vocalist myself, the whisper scream during the writing process is a great help. Gives the idea while saving for the actual stage.

EC already put themselves in a place where speaking English has to come more natural, ever since they adopted Tank the Tech into their family, and now also with Frank 🥰

Great to see all the musical intelligence that goes into the idiocy of their videos 😂🤣

I think a really cool aspect of their vibe as a band is someone was comfortable enough to be honest about really disliking a part

Thank you so much for your great reaction. I knew you'd like this video. It's really interesting to see how a band like Electric Callboy approaches songwriting. And the result turned out fantastic. (Even though I really hated the original back then 🤣) 🤘🏻🔥

Thanks for the reply! Really cool to hear your take on this. I'm not a musician and know zero about music production, but it was great to learn more. And, of course, I love EC...

If I did not know this song from before.
And I heard Electric Callboy do it, I would think it was a very Electric Callboy song.
The text and meaning fit them.
