I knew there was no way that a man wrote “I hope she’ll be a fool - thats the best thing a girl can be in the world, a beautiful little fool”

Zelda saying he wasn’t built to make a woman happy is an absolute mood. To then find out he ran to Hemingway to see how he measured up, and then Hemingway wrote about it is killing me off

The literary tragedy here seems to be how much of a success they may have been if they had both been levelheaded and collaborated properly.

When I was 14 (and mostly stupid but maybe not) I crossed out F. Scott's name and wrote Zelda Fitzgerald on my library copy of The Great Gatsby. Then wrote "Support the right Fitzgerald" underneath it. Got fined for it, no regrets.
