The Fiesta XR2 restoration continues! In the last episode, I discovered that the passenger side A-post was far worse than I expected and completely rotten. Now the replacement panel has finally arrived, so it's time to tackle one of the biggest repairs on the car so far!
In this episode, I start fitting the new A-post panel and continue repairing the passenger side inner flitch panel. There's plenty of cutting, welding and test fitting as we try to save this classic Fiesta XR2!

Always be grateful of those crappy repairs. Never forget that without them the Fiesta would have been scrapped long ago and another classic gone. I'm a MK2 Granada guy and so many of them (and spares) were lost to the banger racers.
Makes you think how many of these that are on the road looking nice are total rot boxes underneath a shiny coat of paint
