You are one of my favorite creators ever.  I'm a 62 year old retired Accountant in the Southern US. I rarely comment but tonight I just wanted to show you some love.

A week of hell? He killed their daughter after an HOUR or sexual assault and beatings. Hes given her parents a life sentence of pain and grief.

sums up humanity pretty well, plenty of people hearing a woman screaming "help me" and then after she is murdered they are so kind, polite and helpful to the police, makes me sick.

He’s going to be eligible for parole in 2031?!?!?!?! Absolutely not. This man is sickening and absolutely terrifying. This is a huge miscarriage of justice. Mind blowing

What’s also more terrifying is that he was ONLY caught bc HE got himself caught!!! 😩 had he done nothing, they honestly probably would’ve never found him…

It's really frightening how often there are multiple witnesses who hear someone screaming for help but don't do anything about it. Even if you don't want to go check it out yourself, at least call the police to have them check it out.

What a gorgeous building, it looks so safe.  Crimes can happen anywhere. I think the boyfriend didn’t call the Police is because he was in COMPLETE denial! Poor guy, he was probably trying to rationalize her not being there. My heart goes out to him and her friends and family.

I remember this case SO well. My uncle is an architect in Bristol and I asked him how it affected that community, to this day he gets teary and said that it devastated them.

As a woman, the description of Joanna answering the door to the murderer and seeing it’s her neighbor, then he quickly over powered her…FRIGHTENING 😬😳

As soon as I saw the landlord, Chris I said ….no way.  My first bet was a male 45 or younger and that she was followed home from her get together with her friends.  Sad to say,  it was someone in her own building and that makes it especially sad because you can’t say, well she shouldn’t have left and walked home by herself.  This guy is totally to blame and he should have received life in prison with no parole!  I am so sorry for her boyfriend and her parents; extremely sad event.😢

My grandma always taught me to scream fire instead of help because people are more likely to call the police that way

I will never understand how people hear people scream for help and they just shrug it off and go on about their night??

This man should never be free. I can’t believe he only got 20 years. And 10 MONTHS for cp. disgusting.

I remember Joanna's disappearance being all over the news. I was only 14 but I remember hoping so badly that she was found safe.. and then they found her body. I was so sad. Her killer should never ever be freed. He will kill again given the chance. RIP Joanna ❤️

So a neighbor heard a female yell “help me” but the neighbor didn’t think to look around or call authorities!!! That neighbor may have been able to save her life by spooking away the killer.

Good to see you, Bella!
People, please! If you hear someone screaming for help, DO SOMETHING!

Its so scary, the no motive, no remorse, acting normal after, even eating her freaking pizza after!!  * Shivers *

i don’t know about anyone else, but if i heard even what i kind of believed to be a struggle i would get help. if i heard a woman screaming “help me!” i would call 999 IMMEDIATELY. can you imagine the helplessness of being in that situation and having people actually hear your cries for help and they just brush it off like “hm. that weird. anyway.” like are you stupid??

I bet he thought he was super clever telling the police he went out to take photos when he actually did take photos of her.

Don't apologize. We will be here when you come back. Feel better soon ❤🙏🏼
