Regarding Aerosil, some brands of Aerosil (such as Kovelos) can produce a yellowish tint and cloudiness in layers. You can certainly experiment, but if you want to save time and money, I recommend sticking with proven products. ATTENTION: Do not use pure texture oil on the job, as it will yellow over time. (It's the oil that turns yellow, not Aerosil. Any oil will yellow in the air.) The mixture should contain at least 5-10% of any color paint. Preferably 20%. Then this effect will be practically invisible.
Regarding drying speed: Texture oil itself takes a long time to dry. About the same as titanium white in similarly thick layers. That is, it takes quite a long time, especially in winter. It all depends on the thickness. Adding sunflower oil will take even longer. However, adding colored paints to oil while working significantly speeds up the drying process. This depends on the type of paint added and the amount used in the textured oil. If you want a very three-dimensional painting, work exclusively with linseed oil. Expect long drying times or consider adding siccatives to the paints. For example, Rublev's Oleogel and similar foreign brands for three-dimensional painting contain cobalt siccative.
