The pressurised container inside another pressurised container made me slightly Afraid Bentos.

🤣"Don't they know who I think I am"🤣

Can you imagine being stranded in a flood trying to explain to the emergency services that your experimental pie forcefully and rapidly expanded in damaging ways?

Weird Stuff Being Canned.

"If you think about it, we already deviated from the original recipe by putting this much meat in it."

I always take a safety warning more seriously from someone with a visible thumb injury 😅

Fray Bentos didn't ignore you. In 6 months, they'll launch the Tarte Tatin, claiming it was their original idea.

Fray Bentos ignoring you is their mistake.

Faux Bentos is a great name for a knock off Fray Bentos.

I suspect your drier outcome is due to the siphoning [that liquid fat you observed] caused by the pressure cooking - I pressure-can all the time and the amount of headspace required can be as much as an inch. Since your lid fits down over your bottom, rather than being flat, it might be tough to have the extra headspace needed to completely prevent siphoning with the setup you have. This was certainly an ingenious proof-of-concept (part 1), though and I am looking forward to part 2!
