After over 50 years spent in New York City with the Yankees, the Dodgers and the Giants decided to move west in 1958 amidst controversy and threats. Walter O'Malley leading the move with Horace Stoneham joining him as the Giants went to San Francisco and the Dodgers went to Los Angeles.
