The plaintiff says she hired the defendant to repair her home, but the repairs took much longer than expected. She claims she discovered that the defendant was only working when she was present, leading her to sue him for breach of contract.

The defendant says he is a hardworking contractor who even went out of his way to help the plaintiff, including cleaning her garage for free. He is countersuing for defamation and for tools he says he left at the job site.
