I would like to say thank you for the recent support!

And we were wondering if there was any recommendations of new topics to cover in alnst or animes/ video ideas you would like to see next!

There's something deeply beautiful about Ivan considering his love twisted/abusive and Till being a character who consistently fights against abuse and oppression.

Till's love for Ivan is a direct rejection of the idea that Ivan forced his feelings on Till.
Till wouldn't love Ivan if he thought of his love as oppressive or forced; on the contrary, he "knows his warmth, even in his chill" and Ivan's love is what keeps him going.

I really hope that, like Ivan, Mizi can also have an ending proving her wrong about her love being selfish at its core.

I really loved this video; it's so necessary with so much misinformation about Alien Stage and so many people still thinking of Ivan and Mizi as bad people (something that only reinforces the homophobic and misogynistic ideas you explained so well).

Thank you so much for sharing those analysis with us!!!

I believe Mizi also feels predatory and sees her love as destructive and twisted. The whole "crushing someone" Is IMO her guilt and self-demonization talking. In The comic where Mizi and Sua Are having intercourse, it is portrayed as something uncomfortable For Sua (her looks, The clothes not fitting, Mizi using Words Both of their Sygien's used that made them feel less) she sees her whole relationship With Sua as taking advantage of her, as she was The same as The aliens. Dehumanizing herself just like Ivan. When in reality she searched For connection, something that is also shown in The comic: "The same ten fingers, The same ten toes" She is comparing herself to Sua, looking For The humanity they Both have, looking For The connection that humanity is supposed to bring them

wow this is so well thought out i love it! i hate when ppl see alnst as so shallow or edgy, but you really analyzed its queer themes well

I think this is one of the most accurate analysis of the queer themes and the impact they have on the interpersonal relationships between the characters and how they are perceived both in universe and by the fans. Very insightful and engaging, I'm definitely subscribing and watching your other stuff, thank you ❤

"a queer reading of alien stage" there's another way to read it??????????

I adore your analysis, it is so accurate and informative, I love when people pay attention to queer topic in alien stage even it isn’t habitually open bcs of absence of the labels in their world

BABE WAKE UP AN UNDERRATED ALIEN STAGE VIDEO ESSAY JUST DROPPED

bro this was so good, im so surprised its the only analysis from this angle, i need more stuff from u <33

this is such a good analysis, thank you so much for making this!!
You present such a wonderfully deep and compassionate analysis of the characters and their relationships and how they link to queerness in our own world. Especially the Ivan part dealt with some aspects i hadn't really considered before

omg i cant believe these are the only two videos :,( i need moreee

What an awesome video! I'm so happy with the main points you focused on regarding LGBT identity in the series! I love reading/watching in-depth analysis of Alien Stage because I think the series is so intentionally made to be picked apart with how the characters and themes are written.

One thing I wanted to mention was when you talked about that moment in Cure/Round 6 where Ivan softly nuzzles Till. That scene really feels like a parallel to the ending of Karma, when Mizi sees Sua practicing her death and just runs up to hug her. In both cases, those sincere actions go against how Ivan and Mizi have presented themselves and their "true" intentions throughout the story (Ivan as twisted and Mizi as a villain). When you brought it up in the Ivan section, it felt like a bit of a missed chance to connect it back to Mizi later on. But this not a criticism at all, if anything, your video helped me make that link myself!

Excited to see other videos you make, ALNST related or not :)

Love the analysis! I'm not good at communicating why I think some ways about media, like why I never thought about Ivan as a predator or about Mizi as a villain. It always feels my explainations are superficial. So this helped me to understand it better and even helped me understand why I love these three characters sooooo much and how I relate to them. Thank you for doing the video ❤

!!!YES YES YES!!! I LOVE THISSSS YOU WORDED ALL OF THIS SO SO WELL OMGGGG
THIS IS SO UNDERRATED BTW??? LIKE YOUR ANALYSIS ARE GEN SO GOOD AAAAA!!

i don’t have much to say, but i really loved your commentary and explanation!

I CANT WAIT

Ok but fr what other reading of Alien Stage is there?? lol

haven't watched yet but I WILL-

This video essay was so beautifully written and clear! I’m not great at explaining, but this video really is amazing!!

i love this video, you put into words so many important things i myself have struggled to figure out how to say !!!!
i know it is a lot of extra work but i would really appreciate subtitles (not auto-generated) because i struggle with audio processing so i did have to rewind many times to understand what was being said in a sentence... just a small suggestion to make your amazing videos more accessible! thank you so much for sharing !!!!

Hi I came here from the tumblr post and this is so beautifully explained ahh!!!!! This is wonderful ❤
