This is what I've been looking for! Every time I've been searching for "scent layering", all I can find is people explaining how to physically layer lotions and perfumes. But what I really wanted to know was how to determine what kind of smells go well together and why! I would love a more expansive video on the scent wheel! 😊😊

You could apply all this to cooking to learn how to season and pair flavors together.
I apply “if it grows together it goes together “ to cooking and fragrance pairing. If they would taste good together, most likely will smell good together.

This channel has inspired me to go through the perfume samples I’ve collected, and try to pick out the scent notes. I’m finding I like things I didn’t think I would!

I like how you’re teaching people perfume self sufficiency instead of holding everyone’s hand. You want us to be able to find our own signature scents, and not just buy whatever is new or viral or whatever you have a code for. You’re not gatekeeping information that is usually gate kept and we appreciate you for it! You’ve given me new words to describe scents and I have a better understanding of why I like certain perfumes.

You don’t need to layer fragrance. That’s something that people are making up and grabbing onto because they have nothing else going on in life.

Omg thank you for confirming that perfume lasts longer on clothing! I have a fragrance allergy (to limonene, so I basically can't wear anything) and I always feel like a fake fan for spraying it on my clothes lol... so somehow I've convinced myself that I'm "wasting" the perfume by doing that. But to know I'm actually extending the wear time makes me feel a lot better :] Glad you're back btw!

100% agree with you on the body wash. Yes, it'll be nice to match the body wash scent to what you'll use after, but most of the time, the scent will be covered up by whatever is applied on the skin afterwards... What a cool video.

One thing I like to do is layer scents using a roll-on essential oil on my pulse points and then spray a fragrance over it. For example, I’ll use clove oil and layer it with a vanilla or gourmand perfume and it ends up smelling like a spiced cookie.

I also like doing spearmint oil with a melon body spray, or something with lavender or citrus for a really fresh combo. I first tried layering like this with Lattafa Eclair and got hooked. Sometimes I’ll use a Nest perfume oil as the base and then add complementary scents on top. Really helps with longevity and customizing my scent for the day.
