Wow, we have VERY different opinions on what looks good. I adore the Penhaligon’s bottles and I love that Hermes Eau de Merveilles bottle . I hate Creed and Kayali.

If the fragrence is good the bottle becomes more attractive and vice versa.. beauty comes from within 😅

It's not glitter in that Armani juice! It's mica! You tell them apart because with glitter you can see the specific particles, while with mica you cannot, and instead you see a pearlescent, silky liquid

Omg lolol at Orebella looking like “if Mugler Alien laid an egg” 🤣🤣 I always thought of them as faceted crystals, but I can totally see the comparison. Their packaging was a huge selling point for me, although charging an extra $35 for a stand to make (only) their largest size stand upright is highway robbery.

I love a beautiful bottle and the feel of the bottle. It’s does affect my desire to buy. Maybe that doesn’t make sense to some people but to me perfume is an overall sensory experience and a bad bottle can ruin the experience.

I don't know why the Parfums de Marly bottles really bother me. I think I'm the only one but it strikes me as so childish and cheap for the price!

I love the Tocca bottles. It’s so fancy and cottagecore-like. Apparently it’s inspired by Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage. I also love that they name their perfumes from particular women icons, both personal and international. I only love one perfume from their line though, which is Colette, named after a French writer. As a lover of books, it tickles my fancy.

My son says the Gucci bottles look like Poo Pourri bottles 😂.

I like the Lolita Lempicki Apple bottle. I blind bought it because the bottle is gorgeous.  Not my proudest moment.

You have to buy a Hermes fragrance to experience the luxury of their packaging. It's definitely worth the price. The bag, the box, the fabric pouch inside the box and then the bottle with a leather cap is chef's kiss. I own one of their exclusive fragrances, and perhaps some of these brands are hard to pick up on screen, but in real life, they definitely feel expensive.

Late to this video, but I love ranking perfumes by the bottle design since there really is a whole artistry that can go into them and they can be just as reflective of a house's history or trends of the time as the fragrance itself. I know I really relate to what you said about how Diptyque bottles kept bringing you back to their counters to revisit those scents even if there wasn't really a stand out you loved from the line yet.

Personally while a beautiful bottle will never convince me to buy I fragrance I downright hate, a bottle I downright hate to look at will absolutely deter me from spending money on a fragrance I like.

The most beautiful parfum bottles for me are the Lalique ones, especially the limited editions. Simply gorgeous.. Lalique is a crystal glass-making factory, so little wonder. They were also one of the first to make gorgeous bottles too, a lot of History there.
I also really like the Guerlin's bee bottles, sooo pretty. Unlike you, I like the Hermes Eau de Merveilles bottles. And with a more modern take, I like the Maison Francis Kurkdjian's ones, very sleek, as well as the Dior Collection Privée bottles, simple but beautiful with the magnetic cap.

I’m literally 1:00 in and I have a theory about perfume bottles. In media, especially kids cartoons, mostly older cartoons ie: Tom and Jerry, older Disney movies and shows; there would be a lot of those old times Frenchy Victorian looking bottles with the little ball they would squeeze and mist perfume on with. Those bottles were short and squat. Subconsciously I think bottles that look like that are expensive. Short, squat and glass that look heavy.

At 60....a young 60! I'm ashamed to admit I am really attracted to the Kylie Jenner bottle. I don't know what it smells like but I have a feeling it's going to be on my shelf at some point.
