I didn’t expect to relate to her this season. The feeling of being left out by people who you thought you were friends with, being the floater friend, being too much. damn i wasn’t expecting that

She's literally just full of love. There is no such thing as too much when people actually see you and accept you.

it's funny how when writers write complex characters with their own struggles and issues and their own bad behavior, people are quick to hate the character when in reality, the characters mirror real people. nobody is black and white good and evil, we're all a mix in between

If Max were to genuinely leave the group, it would fall apart sooner rather than later. Groups like this need a scapegoat to function. When their scapegoat leaves, they find a new one within the group. Soon enough it’ll get whittled down to two people being “best friends” and no longer a group.

Max was right, they were actively excluding her, not talking to her and not inviting her to things but when she brought it up they act like she's the problem. Ultimately they gave her 2 choices 1) keep quiet about what we are doing to you and silently disappear or 2) speak up about what we're doing  to you so we can use that as a reason to cut you off. The whole season I was thinkinging she should pick the third option, stop talking to them and leave on her terms.

Honestly being left out by a group of people that you love is traumatizing. I always second guess myself and doubting my friends when they say they’re busy because “are they really busy or are they just avoiding me”

The second I realized that I was the last choice/placeholder friend in my friend group. I disappeared, became more private, and didn't come out of my shell again until I found new better friends. The distance between my old friends and me continued to increase even when they noticed and asked me to rejoin the circle. I just kindly curved them and leaned into healthier friendships. Because group one was the same group that only included me when it was convenient for them and hurled insults at me like it was a sport.

I have a rule : When someone is extra-ultra-super-mega happy and energetic all the time without wavering, even if it bothers me, I try to stay close. Because when I was the "too much" person, that's when I felt the saddest and loneliest.
The people who cry on your shoulder know how to ask for help, how to break down, and how to rebuild. The ones who smile every day are the ones who take their own lives, and everyone wonders how that happened if they were "so young and happy."

I found Max annoying, but now I realise that I annoy people in similar ways, and I never understood why

I have always been told that I'm too sensitive, dramatic or am overreacting. I have been iced out of whole groups.

I’m so angry at Marcus, he’s her brother and treats her like shit and takes her for granted just like her shitty friends, she does so much for him

I feel like calling anyone "dramatic" for any reason generally means you haven't ever taken the time to understand how they feel and you just want to dismiss their frustrations and outbursts

Her episode made me cry because I could relate to so much of it. I thought they were extremely entitled and toxic towards her. I hope she'll find better friends.

I always thought that Max's reaction in season 2 after Ginny's been lying to her was completely valid despite being took to the extreme sometimes. Imagine you bring someone to your friend group because you're genuinely interested in this person and later on you find out that not only were they lying to you about being a virgin (which wouldn't be as bad on its own), but in fact they were cheating on your close friend (it was mentioned in the show that Max and Hunter have known each other for a very long time) WITH YOUR BROTHER and your another best friend knew about all of this and never told you. I'm sure if Ginny came to her and explained everything, Max would be way more forgiving because she's the one who's always very honest about how she feels, that's why her friends keeping stuff away from her hurt her so badly. Another point worth mentioning is that to people like Ginny and Abby Max's overly emotional behavior seems intimidating simply because opening up doesn't come as easily to them, that's why Abby said, "Your feelings can be a lot sometimes." Unlike them, Max grew up in a stable household where parents love her and make her feel safe, and her reaction to Ginny and Abby lying to her makes total sense. But the more Max grows up and sees her brother Marcus struggling and their parents having hard time controlling his illness, the more she just tries to be big and shiny and her attempts to express her sadness are met with disregard. Quite sad if you ask me...

It took my until this year (I’m 29) to realize I’m never going to be anyone’s favorite person. I’m not the friend people call when they want to hangout or talk. I’m not the family member people want to go on vacation with. I’m not the woman anyone wants to date. I don’t need to be everyone’s first choice but I always hoped I’d at least be one persons favorite person. I got sick of hearing “you’ll find your person” and decided to just be my own person…it’s not going well, it’s very lonely but you can’t force people to like you and you can’t be someone else. I was trying to say something inspiring but yeahhhh I’m not doing well so nevermind 😂

As an autistic person with ADHD I relate to this video so much. I’ve always been the “too much” friend, the one ppl don’t care about that much but I’m the one that loves them more. Ppl always tell me “don’t take it personally”, “you’re too sensitive”, “stop overreacting”, “calm down”, “shut up”, “it’s not bc you’re autistic. At some point I just gave up on having friends

Bracia is one of my favorite characters. Calls shit how it is but is always there to approach anyone hurting/lonely and be friendly and supportive.

My heart shattered when Ginny said "I guess we just grew apart, and that's okay with me". I never realized this was the unspoken thing always told to me through actions and exclusion when I wonder why they're so okay with me disappearing when I love them so much.

This is making me realise that I may have a toxic friend group and I'm not sure how to feel anymore
