Thank you all so much for the support lately!

Hopefully... they do more for STW.

I think I speak for a lot of Fortnite players when I say... fuck Tim Sweeney. Genuinely.

The biggest issue is that whenever they do update STW it always breaks stuff.
The new hubworld thing they added, actively breaks the game on lower end systems, and makes the game feel so slow.

Load into the hubworld (can take minutes) > Load into a match > Match ends and youre forced to wait for a server to open up so you can go back to the hubworld > Load into the hubworld (can take minutes)

Stw used to have really not much downtime between gameplay if you didnt wanna, but now youre forced to wait like 5 minutes between each mission, truly usually more.

Remember. Epic said they were working on the story. What? A billion-dollar company lying? Nah, Tim would never. Not like he's more focused on ai...

it hurts how save the world still has so much potential even in 2026 and this is something that i've said ever since i got the founders pack back in season 5 chapter 1, they just don't want to spend the resources and effort in order to keep it alive

2:40 fun fact! defenders are way more op than they are supposed to! if you give them any weapon with a 6th perk that has a cooldown so for example a legacy perk from the dragon's roar that causes knockback and has a 5 seconds cooldown, defenders will straight up ignore the cooldown and keep stunning husks aslong they keep shooting at them (heard it works with minibosses too but im not sure)
this has been a thing before defenders got reworked into following you. for a very long time too

Not many players nowadays realize just how important save the world is for fortnite

The only reason why Save The World was announced as a freebie in April was because EPIC needed good PR for two things:

- The firing of a sizeable portion of their team.
- The first major increase in price for their VBUCKS currency.

I don't believe there was any plans to revive the mode in earnest.

They just needed to drown the negative feedback with something.

W brother. Accidental free game. 😂🎉

That's what happens when you hype up a game mode, update it, and then never update it again. The explosive cube rifle was cool and new but we haven't had anything since.

I know you don’t play anymore, but you can really feel the layoffs in the other modes as well. Battle Royale is unbalanced and buggy, OG gets zero promo, the shops are horrible and metaverse stuff is shutting down.

Feels like the end of an era.

It sucks how true this is because I’ve personally never played a game that has had SO much potential I mean come on there are people out there who would love an opportunity to have such an original idea for a game that could be so good if the company running the game cared as much as the fan base

I remember in early college I went from playing StW to trying out BR to going BACK to StW but for V-buck to passively play StW for nostalgia. Imo, letting people play their locker skins sorta broke the immersion for me and stopped me for playing for a GOOD while. I do remember a kid trying to scam me but due to me not having a microphone, I kept awkwardly shaking my head while the kid tries to get something from me. They got bored and left. I happened to get someone witnessing the whole thing and out of their kindness (or sympathy), they gave me some legendary weapons. I'll never forget your generosity, random stranger. Hope you're still out there preventing others from getting scammed.

I really wish they added more story content from Save the World. Some objectives REALLY threw me for a loop. 'specially that character death. Had to sit down for a few minutes.

I am the kind to enjoy grinding as long as there is progress, but there are a lot of mechanics that actively bother your enjoyment of progress, you'll farm copper for that legendary recipe and then cant use it because it uses some plasma ammo you can't craft or find easily. You make one with normal bullets, enjoy it for a few missions, and then it breaks. Idk but if i make a legendary weapon and it doesnt last at least 10 missions or a lot it feels like the game is actively wasting my efforts

despite everything, save the world does still have a core base of people that consistently log in. there's something special here

4:00 same. i’ve always felt good giving back to lower level players. didn’t do it all the time but when i did, i had a feeling they were grateful and put a smile on their face

I like how often Banjo Tooie music is used.

When i started it was endurance that fueled alot of my builds and mats. As for the waiting on an atlas mission trap it out and go farm. Directional pads to get back for the miniboss if so. Epic has made the missions way easier. Resupply had a better loot return cuz it forced you to collect certain items. And as for the early survivor mission finish we used to grind for mats and quests which are now almost redundant because they just gave us way more mission loot. Let alone the evo mat grind too. Epic catered to the 45 second attention span and it shows.

I got given a 144 candy corn in stone wood and still had it at twine. I used it only when needed. It helped but wasn’t essential.
It also took a lot of YouTube and reading to figure out elements and other aspects of the game.
I still play and enjoy it since I started 2 years ago.

Honestly I've been thinking about quitting fortnite because of the current state of save the world
