Absolutely brilliant. That is a cheap effective and very comfortable looking camper conversion for those of us who want to see the country and still have a decent bed. This video is going 2 be shared over and over. I am seriously thinking of doing my car now and putting bike on the back and get out and see the country. Thanks
Hi. I have just converted my Mk2 Octavia estate and thought I would share my thoughts. On trying my Nissan Almera I found the main problem was the lack of headroom making it awkward to sit up or get in & out. To cure this in the Octavia I have removed the rear seat base (very easy) and built a rear base similar to yours but a few inches lower. I also made a small table with legs which fits between the lowered seat back without headrest and the passenger seat. This has given me a 76inch bed totally flat. The way you have built yours gives more storage space but for me the headroom was a priority and I prefer a roof box for storage. You have made a great job of this and I love your individual touches like the folding tables. Happy Car Camping !
Nicely worked out and constructed, a lot more involved than mine (which you watched) but I only needed a single bed and I do have the dual floor. I guess you can leave yours in situ now as you still have a useable boot area whereas mines much lighter and will just pop in and out as required. Very nice job, look forward to seeing how you progress and lets hope we can put them to good use quite soon. Best Wishes, Brian.
Hello, very good camperization, you have given me many ideas that I had not seen before ππͺ a question, how do I know those hinges that you have where the kitchen goes, what are they called?
