There are a lot of settings in the Eversolo DMP-A6. About six of them change what you hear. Everything else you can leave alone.

In this video I go through the decisions you actually have to make: volume mode, which output, the EQ, room correction, EOS, and the sample rate and filter settings. I also tested two things people ask about and got a result I did not expect.

CHAPTERS
00:00 The six settings that change what you hear
1:22 Fixed or variable volume: which to use
2:57 XLR vs RCA, and the output level setting that is not there
4:19 Should you use the EQ?
5:57 Is room correction worth running?
7:45 What EOS actually does
9:48 Sample rate and DAC filter settings
12:43 Settings you can ignore

TWO THINGS I TESTED
The EQ still applies when you feed an external DAC over USB. A lot of people assume an outboard DAC bypasses it. It does not.
It also did not cost me any sample rate. A 192kHz file went in and 192kHz came out, read off the DAC rather than off the Eversolo.

MY SETUP
Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition into an SMSL SU-9 DAC over USB, then a Rogue Audio Sphinx V3 and Focal Aria 926.
