I don't know what it is, but the editing with the talking avatars gives me so much joy!! Thank you both and your amazing and talented editor for doing these videos!
The twist is all the things that it wasn’t. It wasn’t the neighbour, there were no ghosts, it wasn’t the medication, it wasn’t Austin Butler. And the scene at the end is “wait, is she actually having visions because she’s out of medication? Or has he died and now it’s actually a ghost? Or did he escape? Or does she have ptsd?” It’s undoing the twists there weren’t and leaving a question mark on her sanity.
Why did that Markus guy call her Rosie Rose like the boyfriend did? And the water thing too? Like, that really made me think they were actually the same person or something, and the dad never hired a building crew. That would have explained why he was never doing his fucking job, AND why they were never in the same room together. Like the whole "Let your walls down" thing was him trying to get her to let him in so he could mould her into her previous love, but when they had that argument he snapped and tried to do it by force?
But nope, just a random forced romance
Edit: I understand why Markus knows about all this stuff (he's been watching her). It doesn't make it any less disappointing though.
They should have had him copy other people too. Maybe he did and we just didn't see it. Either way, the boyfriend being the killer is just more interesting
legit think this movie would have made more sense if rose had just stopped taking her schizophrenia meds and was dealing with paranoid delusions. still wouldn't have been a good movie, but it would have made more sense
Donal Logue was in so many movies and tv shows.. But Tom Sizemore... He was like in some of the biggest movies of the 90s and early 2000s. You guys did it again. 😅
