And here I am, in 2026, 3 weeks after watching Geddy and Al (and Anika and Loren) in their Toronto homecoming, not ashamed to admit I cried like a baby when they played this song in tribute to Neil. I cried a few times that night. Rest easy, Professor...your throne is in good hands, and your legacy is secure... ✌️

And now this jewel of a song is being played by Rush again as a tribute to his legacy.
He approached drumming as a physicist doing science. RIP Professor

He never just played drums, he crafted masterpieces.

Though he's just a memory
Some memories last forever

Neil could talk about the process of making a great batch of popcorn and I'd be on the edge of my seat hanging on every word he said...

Farewell “new guy”.

RIP Professor, you are dearly missed

It’s amazing how he uses the drums to support the vocals. He was truly an artist

"And if the music stops, there's only the sound of the rain
All the hope and glory, all the sacrifice in vain
And if love remains, though everything is lost
We will pay the price, but we will not count the cost."

Rest in peace, Neil.

“Suddenly you were gone, from all the lives you left your mark upon”.
Thanks for all.

It's weird for me as a drummer.  His playing was incredible but his mind is what impressed me the most. One of the best creative thinking drummers ever.  God blessed Neil.

#RIPNeilPeart

My one and only hero!

It's certainly true that Neil was one of the greatest, if not the greatest, drummers in rock history.  But I would go further:  he was one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century.

I am so devastated with the loss of Peart. He was a beastly drummer and lyrical genius. Hope he found his wife and daughter in heaven waiting for him.

Considering Neil’s struggle with being in limelight and being a private person,  there’s great irony that so many fans related to him so much. 3 weeks now since he passed and I’m still having problem comprehending he’s gone.

I remember coming home to my mom crying her eyes out in 1977, I asked her what was wrong and she told me Elvis died. I sat with her but didn't fully understand at the time. Now I know how she felt.  I'm still crying

" When I see Neil Peart playing, the only way I can describe it is like seeing God On Drums" -  Vinnie Paul R.I.P.

They don't build 'em much nicer than, Neil. A real Canadian treasure we the North are proud of!!

Just wanted to hear Neil's voice again he is so compelling when he starts talking I just want to keep listening such a brilliant guy we miss you Neil -

Amazing drummer, wonderful kit,  unbeatable snare sound and, by all accounts, a decent human being who has survived such tragedies
