I think the big reason so many chihuahuas (and a lot of small dogs in general) end up so angry and poorly behaved is that because of their small size, owners don't take bad behavior and training seriously.

Also, yes, tugging on a leash can hurt the dog if it's attached to a regular collar, I've seen a lot of dogs with missing fur and rope burn basically from it. This is one of the main reasons why a lot of people have started attaching leashes to harnesses instead of collars for walks.

I loved one of Gary Paulsen's stories, he owned sled dogs and ran the Iditarod (huge sled dog race) a few times. One of the other mushers had some glass bottles of soda. Shared one with Gary, asked if he wanted a few more to go. Gary said no but the guy slipped a few in his bag without him knowing. As it got cold out, the soda froze, expanding and breaking the glass bottles, then once they were inside it thawed and soaked things in the bag. One of his dogs cut its paw, so he treated it, put a bandage on it, then went to get a dog booty to go over the bandage-and realized they were soaked through with soda. Put it on anyway, and ended up running a portion of the race with one of his dogs running on three legs and sucking on its foot because it tasted sweet and fizzy. A musher that saw commented how WEIRD that race could be.

Puppies! Thank you for sharing this!

I have a Mastiff mix who can be reactive with other dogs. It's imperative to be aware of your surroundings and maintain control if your dog has any aggression triggers. Absolutely loves all people though (unless they are drunk) and often gets stopped regularly by the neighborhood kids who love to pet "the giant puppy".

Dogs are the best, they’re like the only thing on earth happy to see you, wanna play you and just be near you no matter what. Just seeing their wagging tail is enough to brighten your day. It’d be nice to get one but my house is to small and I work long night shifts so it’d be hard to take care of.

Your laugh is really beautiful and contagious ! I will sleep well tonight thank you doggos and Neila 🫰

1:16 Oh this one's a classic

6:52 that was accurate 😂

Because everything is food or a toy until it's not. And their mouths are how they hold things, too.

As someone who has had dogs for most of their life, I can confirm that dog farts are rank on a level that's almost criminal, just a full on affront to all that is good and decent. Wherever they rip one, you're usually vacating that area for at least 15 minutes, it leaves a horrific miasma behind that lingers for longer than it reasonably should. I once knew a guy who had his dog just chilling on his lap, and that dog ripped a fart so foul bro didn't even bother washing his outfit, he just threw the whole fit away.

Dog ownership is a wonderful thing, for most people I couldn't encourage it enough, but there are harsh realities that every dog owner has to accept, one of those being that whenever they fart you'll briefly lament the fact that you didn't just get a gerbil or something.

"That must have been the tiniest stick I've ever seen."
Yeah...yeah. I get that a lot. :P

Our golden once ate a Pin cushion, pins and all

Also use  to play with the cat, the cat tackling the dog until she pinned him with a paw and slimed his head

I love the popo pug! It's so funny! XD

1 hr of dog videos? I’m in! My neighbors have the chillest chihuahua that has ever chihuahuaed

In my experience, Chihuahuas seem to be at their most chill when there's more than one.
A friend of mine has a mother and daughter pair of them,
and they're angels who I've spent lots of time with on the floor petting and cuddling.
Who knows, maybe the breed feels extra defensive when they're alone.

I found my spirit animal at 10:10 XD Finally, a worthy opponent XD

Neila sure loves to set herself up to get roasted by Chat XD

@17:15 - My sis in law took their Great Danes (both deaf, male is Clyde and female is Bonnie!) in to be fixed and the vet found Bonnie had 2 socks in her stomach. They had no idea she had eaten them.
