Not much can be done no matter how well you build it if the winds are 250+ miles per hour or torrential flooding just waterboards the house

3:42 A family (according to narrator) is leisurely playing mahjong. Neila in the background: "SAY NO TO GAMBLING!!!"

That pilot is a master of their craft.

1:14 Fun fact: Jackie Chan was briefly seen with short hair while filming "Armour of God," but a tree branch broke and he fell 5 meters and sustained a serious head injury. Supposedly Jackie Chan keeps his hair long to soften such impacts.

5:51 - Never never NEVER keep driving in a hail storm. Those ice chunks will turn into projectiles busting through your windscreen and into your face. Safest thing to do is literally pull over and just wait. This is why in places where Hail storms are frequent there is "Hail Insurance" so when your car ends up looking like someone used it for target practice with rocks you're covered.

29:41 the operator inside up there was seriously injured but survived

Lived in Alaska, 180 km winds where the standard in the winter and I surfed a 7.1 earthquake in 2018 like I was riding a bus, so yeah , some of us are used to nature

Yes, American houses are built with tornadoes in mind ... they fly especially good.

Just for your information, Germany is Europe's tornado alley, and the first documented F5 tornado occurred in Germany on June 29, 1764.

Also take into consideration that the "suction" power of a tornado can slow down a vehicle, so even trying to outrun it when it's not only practically chasing you but also has winds far exceeding most cars' top speed can become a death sentence. That's why most people just hunker down in their homes or a storm shelter rather than trying to evacuate when a tornado is only minutes or seconds from hitting them, because they can be unpredictable and you don't know exactly which direction they're going at any given moment. The average person don't have the radar equipment and knowledge to properly track a tornado's formation and predict its movement in real-time like the most seasoned storm chasers and weather organizations do, after all.

Lastly, if Zeus tried to shoot Neila, it definitely would not be with lightning given zeus's lore....

that guy basically was "anything that moves" when a female was even in his sights

Last week we had 2.6 trillion gallons of rain dump on my state and neighboring states

32:04 aw man I just swept there! dammit…

I survived the Henryville tornado. It's not fun, you should look it up, it's brutal.

Germany definitely gets hail storms, but it isn’t common. All I know is that I visited Germany in 1984(Munich), and there were plenty of cars with little yellow circles around dents made by a hail storm that happened before I arrived. The yellow circles were made by the insurance adjusters identifying the damaged spots. Luckily, my uncle had underground parking.

7:29 it is incredibly normal for it to strike the same place multiple times in succession. It's almost abnormal to not have at least two "return strokes" after the initial strike.

"Daddy doesn't let mea go outside "  Neila probably

My parents live in an area that is affected by both tornados and hurricanes.  Three years ago they suffered an F4 severity tornado (it only goes up to F5 btw) and to this day the damage is still visible.  I was taken on a tour of the area and shown all the repairs still going on.  You can see forests that have a large swath cut out of them, the trees nearby bent at odd angles. It missed them by two miles. that's all.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter WHAT your home is made of—if a strong tornado hits it, it's GONE. Even the sturdiest concrete and brick buildings get pulverized down to their foundations with nothing left when a powerful tornado sweeps through the area. All we can do is take refuge in a basement or storm shelter and pray.

28:59 yes, neila. Some might even call it the "Flood. Zone."

6:01 basically the difference would be, somebody dropping a baseball on your windscreen (stationary) and somebody throwing a brick at your windscreen (in motion) in hail that bad.
