JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The Constitutional Court held another hearing regarding the case questioning Gibran Rakabuming Raka's educational requirements.
During the hearing, the judges gathered testimony from several parties, including former General Elections Commission (KPU) Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari, experts, and the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) regarding the regulation drafting process, educational document verification, and the implementation of the nomination process.
Several issues were discussed, including the provisions of Article 18 paragraph (3) of KPU Regulation Number 19 of 2023, educational documents from abroad, the equivalency mechanism, and Bawaslu's access to and oversight of nomination documents.
The statements from these parties then became part of the trial evidence that the Constitutional Court will consider.

The hearing for case number 01/PHPU.PRES-XXIV/2026 continued at the Constitutional Court (MK) on Thursday evening (1/10/2026). The hearing continued with the respondent's presentation of evidence.
The defendant presented two experts and one witness in the follow-up hearing. The defendant in this case is the General Elections Commission (KPU).
The defendant's experts were constitutional law expert Agus Riwanto and Khairul Fahmi.
As a witness, the defendant presented the former KPU Chairman for the 2022-2024 period, Hasyim Asya'ari.
