The ability to do enormous space battles in a video game is criminally underrated

The thing I dislike most about this game is that it wasn't released a couple years later than it did. It would of been great to have levels based on episodes from some of the later seasons of the Clone Wars. Imagine how cool a Maul + Savage vs Palpatine boss fight would be.

My dream game would be the if Skywalker Saga had Complete Saga like Levels (could be 12 shorter Levels, 6 long Levels or a mix between them) and the Clone Wars like Hub, but with a bit more to explore.

Also I still want a new Lego Clone Wars game with all Seasons and maybe even the cut content stuff from Season 7 and 8 were only the Storybord exists.

I remember playing the browser MMO game before this came out! Definitely unlocked a memory

My favorite Lego Star Wars game.

I love the big battlefront style levels in this game

This is one of the few games I’ve ever been genuinely hyped for. As in, counting-down-the-days-until-release hyped. I read and re-read the advert in a magazine until it came out, and it was worth the wait. I loved exploring the Venator, and it blew my mind to discover I could land on the enemy ship too. Not to mention the cool bonus characters, like Starkiller and Savage Oppress. The dual lightsaber cheat was cool too, so I could pretend to be Ahsoka in later seasons or Starkiller from TFU2. My brother and I spent HOURS playing the battle maps, building enormous armies with tanks and Ray-shielded bases. I remember, however, my main complaint even as a kid was that some parts were outdated or missing, such as Rex having no Kama and using the older Episode 3 chest print, not the cartoony Clone Wars one.

Two major criticism I had for this after playing it the for first time this year. One, sometimes the game does not give you a moment to really breath in quite a few levels. It's constant action all the time (to be fair, some levels in the first two  games were the same way)
Two, I did not find the game all that funny. Maybe I am an insufferable stick in the mud but I did not smile once in the game until the very end with the giant bottle being transported after the Zillo Beast. Honestly, I felt revulsion within the very first cutscene with the tongues and thought the ice cream joke went on for far too long. It was the same with that drink that one Jedi wanted later on.

Otherwise, I felt the game was overall a major improvement over the Complete Saga which I consider a major win since I have literally zero nostalgia for this one while the first two LSW games were some of my formative ones.

The snipers are sometimes used for extra minikits, with a few green glowing objects (like ducks in the Geonosian Arena or Spider Droids in the Hidden Enemy).

Hell yeah, this game rules!! So many features that blew me away back then.

Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars started development by 2009 as there's a mention of "LegoCloneWars" in Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continue's executable. The Force telekinesis mechanics were based on Wingardium Leviosa from LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. There was a level based on the Battle of Teth from the movie that was cut titled "Castle of Deception" that would have both had an RTS section and a normal level section.

The character customizer in the main version started having so many characters in Lego Indiana Jones 2 and that portable character customizer system was first used in Lego Batman: The Videogame.

i actually played this before the complete saga, i looooooove dual hub worlds and the character roster. By far, my favorite character is hevy

This is my favorite Lego game, sadly I only had it on the Wii.

This is my favourite Lego Game however i feel that the parts in the character customiser are a lot more limited than the complete saga. But it's good there are so many slots and more lightsaber colours

i don't recall any customization of your character in the promotion flash game, aside from being able to select which character you played as. i want to say some characters could just be found(usually with a puzzle attached), but some had to be found and paid for(only in studs, no real currency). aside from collecting studs and the characters, there was a building challenge of sorts. you had to work together to build a "III" out of simple bricks. i remember there being a competitive aspect to it. i think everyone that got placed in that instance was separated into 2 teams and you raced to finished the build. i had only a basic computer and no consoles in 2011, so flash games were my entire world back then, and i would spend hours per day for several days on that game.

I like Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
