Want to see me compare each level in the Skywalker Saga to the Complete Saga? Check it out here: https://youtu.be/Fn1VleYtLrQ

I find it crazy that levels weren’t the priority, they were so boring, it was just walking to a cutscene with a fight in between every time.

"Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a lot like the Civil Rights Act of 1964" I... uh... y-yeah I suppose

noone ever talks about the promised "eras" where you could go to planets in different time periods and things would be different. Ex: Jedi Temple being an imperial base. Literally right after order 66, you'll just find yaddle standing in the jedi temple. It's so infuriating to me.
Edit: I have now been told this was made up by fans trying to hype the game. So wasn't a broken promise.

The way I see the issue with Mumble Mode is that they thought people liked the mumbles when in reality people liked the scenes crafted around the mumbles. Older LEGO games were like silent movies. The characters couldn't express much through words, so instead they expressed more with actions and facial expressions, and the cutscenes were a lot shorter and snappier since there's no time for dialogue. But Mumble Mode takes a scene that was crafted as an audio movie and just removes the dialogue. It's not the same.

There’s only nobody to fight in the open worlds 😢

I am one of those people that got spoiled by the first Lego Star Wars game

The fact that there were no custom characters was insulting. Just imagine how great the character customizer could’ve been in this game. Seriously, it’s the most expansive and ambitious Lego Star Wars game, and it could have so many possibilities with the different character pieces and abilities. But the devs just said “nah.”

Custom characters were so far along in development, that if you downpatch the game trough steam, you can then mod it back into the game

Main reason we got a "Just The Force Awakens" game is because WB and TT leadership  pushed for these titles more and more to be very common, rushed, low budget releases because even when it comes to lego tie in games the executives and companies above don't see any value in letting these projects take time and reach their full potential.
"New movie out, kids love lego, push it out for movie tie-in money."

This was one of the grindies games ever to 100%, not because of the time it takes (which is like 100 hours btw), but because it feels like a chore. That is something any of the old LEGO Star Wars games would have felt like.

This game would have been peak and a worthy successor to the complete saga if the levels weren’t executed at the sacrificial altar of the open world

I hated the levels in this game but did literally everything in the open world, loved just walking around all the locations

to be honest, for me the lackluster story mode was a deal breaker

ive always played lego games for the linear levels and it's kind of my main expectation when going into them, and those being basically ditched in favour of filling the freeplay open world with content makes it basically not count as a lego game for me

There are so many things wrong with this game. Like the cutscenes are funny every five seconds, hardly anyone dies, they cut out a lot of potentially awesome levels, and probably many other things. In a nutshell, this game pissed in the mouths of the original games.

On the menu having Rey as the center. I think it’s especially weird considering the game is called the skywalker saga. Why isn’t Luke there

Glorified walking simulator. I had high hopes for this game, but those hopes were quickly diminished with a shallow experience in a couple hours of playing and turned into a regretful purchase and disappointing experience

To be honest, I thought they were too many levels that were missing from the game would’ve at least liked the battle of Coruscant level or mission, or maybe some dlc levels

I did enjoy the game overall, but I have some minor gripes because it took so long to release. There are well over a hundred characters that should’ve been in the game (including some like Owen Lars, Daultey Dofine and Chancellor Valorum which already have models), a few more ships and several scenes like the Geonosis battle, the space fight in Endor and Palpatine’s arrest which are relegated to cutscenes. The open world was fun but could’ve had more enemies and quests.

I think the biggest let down for me with this game were the massively cut down levels, I don't remember which episodes exactly but I do remember that I was like "Wait where is this and this scene or how did they skip so much of that episode?".

I did enjoy the Semi Open World Part of it for sure, it's a nice game to 100% if you don't know what to play just based on the insane amount of things to do.
