The attitude of the staff is often a good proxy for how they are treated by their employer.

What's worse is when you walk in to the toilet stall to find somebody's 'gift' and you come straight out with someone else waiting, making it look like it was you.😩

Your poop story Josh!

I’m a flight attendant so I use a lot of airport toilets around the world. I once used a toilet at YYZ— as soon as I walked in the smell was foul, it hit you in the face. I used the bathroom and went to wash my hands. There, in the sink was poop. Someone had diarrhea IN THE SINK. I was scared to wash my hands.
When I go to YYZ, I never go back to that specific washroom.

worst experience in a lounge? I had a cockroach drop on me when I was in the bathroom of the ATL D concourse Delta lounge. I swatted at it so hard I hurt my finger on the overswing. I will never go back to that lounge

Flew on Copa once from Toronto to Brazil with a connection in Panama. Keeping in mind it is a budget option compared to Air Canada or US airliners, I knew I had to compromise some amenities. I was surprised on a positive way: crewing was friendly and food was good. The negative experience was the limited number of washrooms. Using a narrow body 737 for such long flights really make a long queue for the washrooms. But if I am on a budget again, I would easily take Copa.

I once took Copa from Santiago (Chile) to Panama, 45 minute legal connection, to Las Vegas. I was certain when I booked it that I would miss the connection, and at that time, there wasn't another scheduled flight to Las Vegas for another 3 days. I gambled and figured they would give me a free hotel and meals for 3 days, which they did. They gave me the RIU hotel in Panama City, which was beautiful, but the included buffet had not great food. Copa was friendly and efficient about the whole situation. The COPA lounge at the Panama airport was overcrowded.

As a panamanian thank you for the real honest opinion about Copa and the lounge because everytime they are getting worse and they promote Copa as the best and always too expensive for everything.

You were very unlucky. I've always had good experience in Copa even though I have to admit that catering and the Copa Club lounge are now quite worse than before covid. Good experience with crew too, at least in business class.

As a courtesy, people with backpacks should take them off before they walk down the aisle and just hold them in front of them.

I've had just the opposite experience on a trip from Brasilia to Mexico City via Panama City in December. The lounge in Panama is average but the service on both flights was great.

The plane on the Panama tarmac was a DC-9, the first plane ever that Air Panama, the first Panamenian airline bought in 1969.
My family flew in it a couple of times.

They were famous worldwide for being the first airline to offer unlimited free alcoholic beverages. The food was also amazing. Later on they bought a B-727.

We lived in Panama for a few years.
