imagine paralyzing your own son on live television. that man must live with that guilt every day.

May those who passed away on the second one rest in peace. They just wanted a different life, and ended up dying for the one thing they were so desperate for.

It’s ridiculous how someone had to get hurt on the first show for people to take their safety seriously. So sad. :(

Having Samuel's father drive one of the cars was incredibly stupid. Even if the fault was with Samuel, it should have been a stunt driver for all of those cars in case something worse happened.

A segment about paralysis followed by an ad for an injury lawyer is some subtle dystopian vibes...

I am from germany... Years after Koch's accident, there is a video of how he proposes to his girlfriend.. a good friend of Koch's would have him strapped to himself, so he basicly becomes Kochs muscles.. so Koch himself can walk and kneel down before his girlfriend and ask her the question. I am glad he kept making the best out of his situation and has great people around him.

Fun fact: polygraph machines aren't considered that reliable and aren't allowed in court, I believe. So any answers the shows got may not be reliable anyway.

I'm not driving a car towards my child for any amount of money

Steve Harvey totally broke character when he said that “honey I love you” comment you can see on his face he’s not making an animated shock face but he looks genuinely confused and disturbed and almost thinking something is off about this guy.

The second Game show was quite literally a real life Squid game but with no winners.

We watched the "Wetten, dass...?" episode live together as a family that day. The entire country was in utter shock.

I already knew how the Phillipine stadium story was going to end the second I heard that 1000's of people were gathering in a small space. That's NEVER a good thing. Even when nobody dies, there's always hundreds of injuries due to how close everyone's packed in.

You have 30,000 people packing into a small corridor... and you tell them "only the first 300 people through the gate will get tickets for a chance at winning the money?" Why not just award the tickets randomly so there's no incentive to rush the gate? What a horrendously braindead decision.

that ad transition was unhinged

As a Filipino, you just made me realize that Wowowee was just mrbeast before mrbeast existed 😅

I don’t think you can say she was paranoid if the man was really out to get her. It wasn’t irrational or delusional, and kinda makes it seem like she was making shit up

the first guy’s accident was really unfortunate.

3:10 The camera didn't miss jacksquat, the family asked for the footage to be deleted. Samuel somersaults and hits the top of the windshield with the edge of his helmet, yanking his head, severing his spinal chord.

@snow2267 2 months ago

They most certainly did have a camera on the guy who got hit. The director made a quick decision to switch cameras to avoid exposing people to that trama.
