They didn’t charge any of them with possession of nude photos of any of the under age students?! That’s a felony. Isn’t it? Why didn’t the FBI look into that?!

Surveilling children in their rooms through their laptop cameras is literally asking for pedophilia. Absolutely disgusting for the school to think that was acceptable.

Kids who accept being spied on by their school will grow up to become adults who accept being spied on by their government. That's really what this is ultimately about.

Heavy surveillance on children is obviously so invasive but it seems faculty have to make it worse by engaging in stalking & voyuerism

The fact that one of the vice principal said "I know it, I love it" is absolutely disgusting. That sounds like something a pervert would say.

The sheer naïveté of the school principal is mind boggling, to brazenly confront a student with a pic of him in his home supposedly with drugs, as if secretly surveilling underage kids in their rooms isn’t a 1,000 bigger scandal even if he was 🤦‍♂️. How is it possible not to know that.

in high school i knew very little of tech safety, but the one thing i did know is that if the red light next to the camera meant that it was on

when i first noticed the light i immediately put a bandaid over it, monthly our school would have us return our laptops for "repairs" every time the bandaid would be gone after. but the cracks from the dropping it, or screen tearing that had been on the computer, that was never fixed
i mentioned this to my uncle (who works in IT for an unamed company) and he borrowed my computer and said he turned off the my camera. the exact same week the school charged me for damaging the computer and gave me a new one.

I went to one of those schools that had you do 80% of the work on a computer, we would sit in small cubicles row by row, and teachers could monitor what we were doing on our devices, and even send pop up messages individually to remind people to get back on track or whatever. But why I’m bringing this up is somehow a student managed to hack into the message distribution system, and sent a system wide message that said “please notice me senpai”

"Students aren't employees" needs to be said a little louder. I was part of an art program in my school that made us make so much art for local art sales. We weren't allowed to opt out of it, weren't allowed to reserve our pieces for family members, and never saw a dime of their profits.

Lol any lawyer that tries argues a child, A CHILD, doesnt have right to privacy in their bedroom from school faculty needs to be completely stripped of their license. I also hate it never went far enough there should have brrn way more charges.
