Jim Sterling argues that playing games more equals... more negative reviews? Somehow, he thinks this argument is compelling.

The fact that Jim Sterling claimed that he is "pregnant" was the final nail in the coffin in regards to my respect for him.

If Sweet Baby Inc was a person, that person would be Jim Sterling.

Remember watching Jim complain about having "birthing pains" while chatting with a bunch of the other Escapist guys and Yahtzee is just sitting there looking dead inside. Funniest shit ever.

Total Biscuit is dearly missed the more years go by with this insanity.

Jim Sterling is one who appeared to be self-important ironically. Now that we know that Sterling is self-important unironically, he’s severely less interesting.

Jim is another "I thought you were joking." case. People always thought he was funny due to how he acted so self-important, and now we know it was never an act.

Jim doesn't even know what he is. I'm supposed to value what he thinks about other things?

Jim Sterling is terrible, full stop.

@ThrobbGoblin 2 years ago

I've never seen someone completely switch genders as a means of deflecting criticism.
Say what you want about him, his commitment to being insufferable is unwavering.

Memes aside the reason game journos want lower skill ceilings and accessibility options(game plays itself) is so they can hit credits first to hit the algorithm with reviews stuffed with personal stuff no one cares about

@cookiedoughdynamo2747 2 years ago

Sterling doesnt see himself as someone to inform a potential consumer, he sees himself as the final arbiter for fanboys to get a verdict on their game. If he ever got off that pedestal he'd leave a crater.

Jim took "You never go full r" as a challenge and proceeded to speed run it to 200%

@mylastaccountgotdeletedtha6936 2 years ago

The only good thing Sterling did was say Scott Cawthon’s characters looked like creepy animatronics and gave the guy the idea for Five Nights At Freddy’s.

Of course, Sterling also went on the “Scott Cawthon bad because political donations” crowd in 2021.

Used to get big kicks out of watching Jim trash the AAA publishers. I never would’ve predicted how deluded HE would become.

"WHAT THE HELL IS EVEN THAT?!"

Me every time I see Jim Sterling.

Jim Sterling's fall from grace since lootboxes were replaced with season passes. Actually insane how quickly he descended into irrelevancy.

Someone who readily brags about deliberately choosing to not complete the last 2% of a story driven game out of petulant spite is not someone who I would readily trust to have reviewed the first 98% in good faith.

Jim gets worse and worse every time I see a video about him.

@RebelNutts-gg1xf 2 years ago

He constantly talks about sex or his own body parts no kid wants to hear that from a game reviewer.

@coyoteone6197 2 years ago

I remember watching Jimquisition episodes on Escapist years ago and thinking, "This guy has kind of an amusing schtick - humorously styling himself as a power-mad egomaniac."

Sigh.
