Having watched literally tens of thousands of YouTube videos over the years, I can confidently say this one is the best quality of them all. Everything is perfect... pleasant voice, good lighting, solid dark background, good choice of yarn color and size, steady filming, perfect control of zoom in and out, just the right amount of detail, perfect progression, no unnecessary chatter or promotion of channel and products. Hi Suzanne, THANK YOU for one of the best tutorials for closing the gap for the thumb gussets. I don't know why knitters, including myself, always seem to have issues with this. Love the camera-work and your thorough instructions and knitting skills. A big THANK YOU for not rushing through this technique. Last, but not least, your voice is very calm and soothing and a pleasure to listen to while learning this technique

Thank you! This is a clear tutorial! My daughter has a little pair of wool mittens that her great grandmother knitted about 40 years ago. They are still the best mittens! My grandma died many years ago so she can’t teach me, but I aspire to make mittens that will be as warm for my future grandchildren and great grandchildren! Now, I finally understand how to make a thumb!!!!

I started knitting 2 years ago so I am new to the “sport”, although I have crocheted for almost 40 years. This thumb gusset tutorial is the BEST!! I use it every time I make fingerless mittens.
