True damage is actually not a typical band. They're a virtual band like heartsteel and kda

Fun fact: Everything in this MV happened in real life or specifically in the Worlds tournament. This MV is about the team T1, who are the only team to win back-to-back twice and THREE-PEAT. They won the worlds titles 3 years in a row (2023, 2024, 2025). They also won in 2013, 2015 and 2016 (back-to-back) but lost the Finals in 2017 (the starting of the video where they lost). The video is a tribute to the widely regarded greatest GAMER (not LoL only) of all time, Faker. 6 Worlds champions with only 1 team, throughout 15 years of LoL pro play. This MV is made for him, the main character, the Unkillable Demon King, the iconic man with the glasses. Everyone has their own opinion but at the end of the day its an ANTHEM for the Worlds Championship, not a True Damage MV hence why its "ft. True Damage".

But its funny how great he is when the actual game company decides to make a MV as a tribute to his journey WHEN HE IS STILL COMPETING BTW

Wow, I've never been to a video so early x'D So True Damage is another fictional band from the League of Legends, much like K/DA, though TD is a hip-hop focused group. In fact, True Damage was started (lore-wise) by Akali (voiced by Soyeon of i-dle) of K/DA as a side project - they exist in the same alternate LoL Universe.

Also, idk how familiar you are with LoL e-sports but this video follows one very specific player and team. I'll copy pasta my very quick synopsis of this story, apologies if you know this already xD:

This video is about Faker, the GOAT of League of Legends (and honestly, all of E-sports). Out of 15 LoL World Championships, He's been in the Finals 8 times, and won 6 times (all on the same team T1 - formerly SKT).

He won Worlds 2013 as a rookie, then went on to win Worlds 2015 & 2016, becoming not only the only team to win multiple Worlds Titles but also winning 2 back to back.

Then he made 2017 Worlds Finals where they were swept 3-0 (the scene of him crying in the opening of this video is something that actually happened after they lost). This is considered the "downfall" of Faker, as he and T1 went through several years of tough times after this loss, and wouldn't make another worlds final until 2022. At this time, people were wondering if Faker was getting too old (old being 25+ in the LoL world x'D) and if his peak was over.

In 2022, the T1 roster looks entirely different, with Faker as the only original worlds winning member left on the team. He's joined by 4 very young but very talented players. Faker is a fairly different player at this point; he's no longer the best midlaner with the best "hands" but what he is, is very experience, very knowledgeable about how to play the game, and very, very clutch. They make it to the finals but are upset by DRX, a massive underdog team in the Worlds Tournament. Once again T1 fell short and people questioned their ability to win another worlds final.

Then Faker & T1 would go on to win 3 Worlds Championships back-back-back (2023, 2024, 2025), with the first 2 being the same 5 players, and then the last one being 4/5 of the roster + a new player. Faker has once again proven that he is the greatest LoL player of all time.

This is one that is more for the League fans as already mentioned by someone else. This music video is purely about the GOAT of league: Faker.
Every clip is filled with players merged with League Champions and signify certain moments during the different world championships of his career.
First clip is Faker losing the worlds finals in 2017 and he's crying while you see his teammates just standing around disappointed.
Then we see clips from his 2013 finals that he won, 2015, 2016 aswell.
Then there's a whole down-period where the male character is rapping and you see cities/landscapes changing colors and buildings showing names and icons from all the teams that were participating/winning/defining the worlds from the years 2018-2021 where Faker struggled to even qualify.
At that point Faker goes in to his elevator and tries to press 3 while being frustrated, signifying he's losing hope in ever winning and is forced to accept that 3 titles was it... but his new roster of young talented players stopped the elevator and joined in, leading to a devastating finals loss in 2022, followed by 3 more titles back to back to back in the last 3 years!.

Riot putting out another solid track. If you want another great song (probably my favorite from Riot this year), you should check out the Valorant Champions 2026 anthem - If The Sun Burns Out Tonight (ft. Grabbitz, Oli Sykes, & Courtney LaPlante). It's an absolute fire track!!

Riot Games proving again they are really Riot Music ft Games
