I want another one too ! Iβve got a halcyon grey .,Iβve just kitted it out with ammo box panniers and now I wish I had the signal model as well to turn into a survival bike!
I must admit that I was one of the 'why would you want two bikes exactly the same' camp and was delighted when you got the scram; it's different enough. Then I thought, 'hang on a minute; what's my all time favourite and would I want more than one of 'em'. The circa 1980's Ducati 900 Supersport was my first and everlasting true motorbike love and the answer is Hell Yes! One for every day of the week please, so you're not alone mate. Happy Trundling.
Hi Willie, Last time we communicated, it was about ghostsπ . Today I had a brainstorm and traded in my Z900 for a.....wait for it ....a 350 classic in bronze and cream, like Nigel,s. Been thinking about it for while now, because in May I bought a new Guerrilla, and since then the BIG Z has hardly turned a wheel! I have been trundling down country lanes on the RE, and realised THIS IS THE LIFE!!! Hope I've done the right thing. Time will tell I suppose. Regards Ian.
What a lovely garden/patio/she-shed arrangement!! Looks just brilliant β€ Your J350 logic isnβt lost on me, Willie. Iβve owned Two Meteors and am about to pick up a second Classic, just waiting on the newest ones. The sweet spot of motorcycles IMHO. π
And it looks like 8K is coming up quickly! πππ
We call those over here in the US a "She Shed". π My wife wants one. Got a couple places around here builds them and drops them off a trailer. My problem is my rear yard is fenced-in. π
My thoughts: I love the chrome on the Classic models, but it should always sparkle, which makes it a good weather bike in many areas. In contrast, the Mash Grey Signal should be ridden in inclement weather, rain, mud you name it, as its looks will improve by being dirty.
I said from the start you should buy a new Classic 350, it's nice to see your taking note. Now you've got to decide on the colour, that could be tricky knowing you.
Your bike ownership is slowing down Willie. You've really gelled with the Classic 350. For the money, the Scram was a no-brainer and adding another Classic 350 makes perfect sense to me too π
Lovely cabin Willie and cats are cool π I bought the longer Pyramid tyre hugger for my Himalayan 411. You can fit it without removing the wheel. It simply bolts on using existing captive nuts on the bike and also replaces the rather flimsy factory chain guard with one that is built into the hugger itself. The hugger is also made of rigid plastic covered fibre glass and is of a very high quality, with a choice of gloss or matt finish. I'll email you some pics π
