1980s football was just as good quality as the earlier years of football if not better.

Im from the UK and I had this tape back in the day although not any more sadly as Id love to upload it on here.   The visual and narration is very similar although in the UK version there was a short section about two legendary but that year struggling coaches Landry and Noll which was quite sad and moving.   The music is totally different up to the 49ers and Super bowl footage but then identical to the UK. Many thanks for taking the time to upload.

Seems like the hitting and the speed of the game increased in the 1980s. Some fierce tackling and big impacts here. Game was at it's best.

Larry Munson's call of that TD run by James Primus (he name was mud?) at 6:20 will always be hilarious to me. I think he was starting out saying how many yards he got, then it was his location on the field and it just sounds so scatterbrained.

I used to buy every NFL Films Video  I could get my hands on which wasn't easy at that time here in the UK . This was one my favourites  even though some  of music  and narration is different from the one we got here  I can still remember most of the dialogue word  for word and all the players  full names.  Go Hawks

The original broadcast had a different musical score.  I know because I've seen it over a hundred times after I recorded it on tv.   This one's still good, but not as good as the original.   The 1988 49ers year book on vhs had the same exact intoduction and music as the original road to the Superbowl from 1988.  I've seen both of those videos hundreds of times.  I wore both of those tapes out by 1992.  lol.  It's a better production than the videos made today.

@33:45 I didnt think the 49ers were going to beat the Bears, I was looking for the Bears to be considered a little dynasty. Winning two super bowls in 4yrs, but the 'Niners won

If the Eagles beat the Bears in the fog bowl, quite possibly the Eagles take care of SF as well. One can always dream.
