As a 10 year old 1960's kid I loved the Land of the Giants TV show! I ate up all the 1960's SciFi TV shows!

Heather young was on the show from the beginning and Deanna Lund was from the beginning to the end.

Still love the show, and watch it every now and then on DVD. Wish LOTG hadn't left prime time in 1970; would've been great for at least one or two more seasons. It was fun, colorful, and exciting to watch, and loved that beautiful ship, the Spindrift! Funny that in 2026, we don't have anything like that flying around......yet, and the show was set in 1983. People seemed to have greater imaginations back in the sixties when it came to creating some incredible futuristic hardware. "Thanks" for this spotlight on a classic show that many of us still remember fondly.

Fitzhugh was not wealthy; he was an embezzler on the run.

Heather Young did not replace Deana Lund. it was Heather who was out of a few episodes in the 2nd season because she was pregnant

That's what has bothered me for years, no closure on the crew or spaceship! Could have ended it with a final episode showing the little people leaving the giant planet and going back to Earth!

I believe an episode of the twilight zone with agnes moorhead gave them the idea for land of the giants

I came across a French made cartoon entitled "Fantastic Planet" (1973) on one of my streaming channels. It was about a planet inhabited by giant blue humanoids called "Drags" & tiny human like beings called "Oms." The "Drags" keep & torment the "Oms" until the "Oms" resist & fight back. I wonder if this movie was based on "Land of the Giants"?
