Hey again. I should make a couple of points clearer. The Voice of El Dorado did voice Frollo...but in the Spanish Language film, not the original. Yes, Buster Jones did voice Winston Zedemore, AFTER Arsenio Hall left. As for Static Shock...ooops, I always called the character by the show name, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@ 3:55 That's not Manitou Raven, it's Thunderbird from Marvel's X-Men :)

I love how they repurpose them in Justice League Unlimited as well as in Young Justice cartoons. Each iteration as different as the last.

Virgil's name was Static, the show's name was Static Shock.

To be honest as an African American kid who watched this show growing up, we resonated with all the additional characters including the purple twins.

Black Vulcan similarities to Black Lightning always made me think Samurai and El Dorado were analogues for Red Tornado and Martian Manhunter.

Rima was also multi cultural, yet she gets nothing.

If you watched Young Justice, they were on there basically, just different names. Marvin, Wendy, and the Wonder Twins also, not forgotten.

I liked Apache Chief. The only other Native American hero I can think of was Tonto - who was a hero in his own way.
And thanks for pointing out the view from underneath Apache Chief. I never thought of that as a kid, now I can't unsee it. 😳

I guess I'll be the one that tells you that it was Arsenio Hall that voice Winston in the Real Ghostbusters cartoon.

Those 4 were my favorite ones when I was a kid

It's really cool to see this topic covered here. I've said for years that the Superfriends' producers were ahead of their time with representation from those four characters!

What about Rima the Jungle Girl. She showed up in several episodes. I enjoyed all the heroes mentioned.
I bought an osuue of Rima from a flea market as a youth because of this show (I'm 55)
