I realize there are mistakes and inconsistencies in this video, sorry. I'm working to make future videos more consistent and free from errors. I've made a checklist! Thanks for your understanding.

I've seen many "actual plays" and this has been the best so far for the presentation.  Keep doing this!

I just finished mission 0-1. I underestimated the locust. Don’t let it get behind you.

Nice work, this is a good battle report format. Keep up the good work. Earned a new subscriber.

I appreciate you making these videos! I liked and subbed

Cant wait till the game store here gets a restock so I can grab a box. Thanks for posting this series

For anyone interested, this is only one of three possible starting missions. The others are establishing a base or directly assaulting a JF base.

Aww, heck yeah!  Here we go.  Thanks, Ben.

Very entertaining, I had this playing in the background while I painted some minis. I loved hearing the excitement in your voice as you described the events.
Don't worry about making mistakes, it adds to the entertainment value.

Haha I love the pilot names!

Thank you for posting

It's so nice to finally see a battle report of this! There were a few reviews but they all hadn't actually played the game yet. And don't worry about setting things wrong, I don't think it really impacted your game.

I'm also going to steal that card-stand idea! That's what Legos are for 😎

I myself got the Scouring Sands box at Spiel and was able to play four games so far. I'm very impressed by how the Aces decks work, but especially with how they make them work within the campaign. I also really like how the story progresses depending on your choices 💪

Have fun with the rest of your campaign and I hope you'll share more of these!

The Scenario has them using the very brutal Locust IIC that really messed up a couple of my mechs (though I did eventually trash it) and won the day.

played mission 3 then mission 6 and 9. Have mission 10 next, no spoilers on my end. I got a piece of compressed particle board and had it cut 4x4 for my table with a 2x4 extension I could put on if needed, recommend it if you get the chance. Other than that I am enjoying the bat report and seeing my early mistakes as well. Subbed and Liked.

I can't wait to play this with SRM Carriers and Demolishers. Your units deploying in a clump in the middle makes those vehicles crazy valuable.

Love the vid. The one thing I'll suggest is maybe with final placement decisions, play the AI as if it's you, alot of the time you left the opponent's backs exposed when sometimes they could have been angled with their backs to the wall, or at the beginning with the rifleman jump, you could have jumped closer to the edge of the hill

Besides taking motive rolls every time they're damaged, hovercraft and wheeled units roll on the table at +1.  Vehicles (and infantry) also can't benefit from partial cover.

Thanks for all  your aces content, really excited for when I can get a copy for myself. Quick question, I know that the campaign is centred around a 4 x 4 map but would the AI cards work well for a stand alone game not using campaign on a 6 x 4 map? Would the AI just try to engage at close range anyway. Thanks

You should use 2d6 for each attack. pilot die attacks arent good. if your going to roll more then the 2 dice for each attack just roll 2d6 for each pip damage, roll different color dice.

Thanks! I think one potential reason for lower viewership may be people wanting to explore and experience the campaign missions “fresh”. I enjoy getting a taste of the campaigns and then often will shut a vid down to avoid spoilers!
