I feel like the soldier designs are heavily inspired by WW1's "Broken faces" (Gueules cassées in french), soldiers that came back from the war completely disfigured by horrific face injuries, that struggled to fit back into society.

So the sniper was a security guard for Subway Surfers all along. Life spares no one ig)

The only thing i can think of, is that the reason the soldiers are hostile to the characters, is because they are possibly mistaken as child soldiers thus considered potential threats.

I remember when me and my sister took down that sniper she kept kicking him while I was just laughing

Their faces remind me of photographs from WW1 of soldiers who suffered facial wounds.

Tbh at the impression I got initally is that the soldiers were just normal humans i'll be it with masked & mangled faces from shrapnel and gas attacks trying to quartintine whatever happened too the world (kill the goat and other monsters) but went utterly mad in the process turning on each other prefering to end their own lives then face off agianst the monsters that roam the wastes.

They still follow orders killing anything that isn't them in a vain attempt to stop the monsterous influence but to no avail.

I think that whats happaning is that the sacraficed are taking revenge on those who sacraficed them, the girl, the lambs, the pigs ect ect.

The soldiers where sacraficed by a country for gain, but the one that killed them was another soldier, thus a eternal meaningless war..

The uniforms look more like American WW1 uniforms. The briths hand longer units with pockets at the bottom and more brown. And the rifles looks a lot like a M1917 Enfield with a different type of front.

I wonder if there's any hidden meaning with the soldiers instantly pulling the pins on the grenade's the instant they see us if they don't have a weapon. could children possibly be a sign of a fate worse than death? and they pull the pins to escape such a fate as well as to maybe kill them.

oddly enough their rifle is modeled around M1 Garand body, with Mosin bolt head and a kar 98k bolt, bayonet could be a M3 trench knife. it's eldritch but pretty cool

11:00 It's not magic, that's physics. The change in air pressure.

With basically 0 knowledge or understanding of this world, my quick take of this is that traumatized children will see war completely different, not understanding why people would do this damage to the world that they see so brightly and full of wonder, it is being destroyed and I for one can remember how I used to see the world so much more brightly and "shiny" and one day it all went dark and gray. A lot of my memories have people's faces as blurs and twisted or just replaced by a familiar face entirely. Sometimes when I think back to my childhood my memories become awful shapes and people distort and sometimes my entire perspective is suddenly ripped away as if I'm watching from a different angle and entirely helpless. Trauma to children can be completely irreversible.

I enjoyed this level the most because I’m a World War I historian and even though the uniform is pretty bare-bones I love it either way also the sniper’s uniform reminds me of the Russian officer’s uniforms from World War II

These soldiers look like doppelgangers or skin walkers to me

Imagine playing the game at 5x 11:54  it would be a big challenge

8:11 is it me or he just did a bicycle kick

i think the story was in ww2 because theres a sherman tank and panzershreck rocket launcher

Personally I think the game is a dystopian Britain stuck in endless unknown war. the reason I think this is because not only do the soldier uniforms and some of their equipment look British (other countries weapons seem to be present) but the locations such as the coastline looking similar to Britain’s costal areas, also the tower the sniper shoots from looks similar to Big Ben. And the children sound British to me.

I also think the soldiers are corrupted from the supernatural event that has taken place in the game and have become ruthless reanimated corpses that instead of fighting their traditional enemy (as their is a lack of evidence of any apposing enemy force). they instead have a indiscriminate rage as the appear to only fight each other before committing suicide, most likely as a mockery of the endless war the country has gotten itself into. ANYWAYS sorry for the big comment I’m not sure if someone has already pointed this out, or if I’m talking nonsense, but nice vid and keep up the good work! :)

8:06 I wish there is a mechanic to use a decoy against a sniper to fool them, can’t tell if it was friendly fire or actually just the enemy of the soldier
