I've honestly been thinking this for a while. Imagine if people who hated black people actually left black people alone. I don't go out of my way to antagonize people I hate.

Thank you. I'm a recovered meth addict, and that can really get me down sometimes, but you've reminded me that things can always be worse. I'd rather have a problem with stimulants than racism any day.

Racism will never go away not because people talk about it, but because wealthy people use it to manipulate white people into voting against their/our (I'm half white) economic self-interest.

The problem is that the racism keeps happening, not that people complain about it.

Just reminded me of that Netflix movie "Beast of No Nation" which did a really good job drawing the audience into the emotional state of the child-soldiers it's about; the intoxication of battle, the way that the effect it has on the brain almost cannot help but imbue one with a sense of noble purpose and destiny.....

James Baldwin wrote extensively about this. White people (not all 🙄) do not have their own identity outside of what they believe Black people are. Whatever they believe we are they’ll just choose the opposite as a description of white culture. That’s why the question of what is White culture, stumps so many of them. They’ve continued to identify themselves in comparison to us. Black people don’t have that to go off of. According to this country’s created hierarchy, we’re at the “bottom of the totem pole,” so there’s no one else for us to compare ourselves to. We only strive to be our better selves, it’s ‘us versus us’ really. When your identity is only built on comparison, it’s built with a house of cards and that means one card out of place will have you in shambles.

In comes Obama as president. Black people’s joy about Obama becoming president was something totally different than what white people thought. We didn’t think him becoming president meant this system was getting ready to change. I can’t find one Black person IRL that thought that, but apparently, white people did. Our joy was about our history in this country and what it symbolized. As a people the only group that has had the very lowest of the lowest job to the highest. And to believe symbolism doesn’t matter is asinine, it absolutely does because now we know what’s possible. In addition, that Black man becoming president pulled a card out of place of their house of cards (identity) because remember their identity is based on comparing themselves to Black people. It’s built on sand, and one of the cards in their deck was that at least no Black person has ever been president since you know we’re low IQ and all. I can critique Obama about a lot of things, but intelligence isn’t one of them. He’s also emotionally intelligent, which kind of dispelled that “brute” image that’s always said about BM.

White people are now having an identity crisis, but no one wants to call it that 😂

When racists can't find something to be angry about, they make it up. It is an addiction. And a very damaging one at that.

Indian here (well, grandpa was from India, I was born on the east coast) and I find it hilarious and sad our community is so racist, they don't even consider themselves Asian. You've spoken a lot about Ramaswamy trying so hard to fit in and not getting the message that people don't like him for being Indian.  One thing people don't get is how desperate this community is for white validation. Yes they have enclaves and neighborhoods, but because they only measure success in terms of work, money and religion, they're so anxious all the time.

Keep these videos coming it feels good knowing there is true forward minded movements in Ohio these last few years have made living around Columbus a little doomer pilling. But it really feels like there is a real momentum of change for once!

My Mother, who was a bigot of epic proportions, was obsessed with tanning. She would spend hours out in the sun to get as dark as she could, but she disliked and was afraid of black people.  When she was young, she got so dark that she was asked, while in a movie theater, to move to the black section of the theater. Now figure that one out, because I never could.
