People talk about electric blankets and hot water bottles.  We're talking about keeping the whole van warm, what about getting up in the night for a wee. You want the can warm

An electric blanket is a decent option if you need overnight heat. Probably 1/10th the power used, since it’s just heating you not the whole van.

I was surprised Jackery weren't at the Motorhome Show. You would think RVers would be one of their biggest target audiences. 🤔

The only way to do it is this in my opinion,
My set up is Anker c1000 plus the additional battery, gives me 2000wh capacity!
I have a black and decker small radiator with 3 settings 600w mode 400 watt mode and 200 watt mode rad looks similar to the one in video, it is then plugged into a plug in thermostat and plugged into the power bank, I turn on at 10.30 at night and use 400watt mode for 20 miniutes to get up to heat and then change to the 200 watt setting that then holds it at a nice temperature, the thermostat I set for 15.5 degrees which is crucial you don’t set to high like 18-19 as on a very cold night will drain much more rapidly , I was in Scotland the weekend just gone, outside temp at 6 degrees, the batteries by 7 in morning had one depleted and the other on 38%, keeps the van at a nice stable temperature and turns on and off as it needs to maintain your set temperature, obviously the cooler you set the longer it will last, by the morning I have three options to recharge , one , I drive and I have a bluetti dc to dc charger that charges my batteries as I drive ,
Two, I have solar on the roof which works only in the summer months, and is more off a top up then a full charge! , and 3, if I’m wanting power and not driving I have a mini 1100w silent generator I can use to charge the batteries back up.
Final option is mc Donald’s lol, they have free power sockets at most restaurants , just buy a coffee and put your Anker on super charge and it’s charged in a hour,
I have spent months researching your best option, your welcome :)

For me a Heated Gilet powered from a small power bank lasts for hours and keeps you warm when you are outside the van also. For £20 it's a no brainer.

Using a large lithium battery such as a Jackery or Ecoflow is absolutely useless for keeping warm 😂 (I have three large Ecoflow inside my vehicle). I am full-time living in a vehicle, but to have the batteries empty after a few hours would make no sense, because I would need to charge it off grid daily, which would then force me to drive every single day of the year and never be able to do anything or enjoy periods parked up in beautiful places. Heaters are never needed at night while you sleep, because a decent down 🪿 sleeping bag is warm enough even during the coldest of winter ❄️ nights. The main period when a vehicle interior needs warmth is during the daylight hours or long icy-cold evenings when you're awake and static, just sitting reading or watching films etc...But all day or prolonged dark evenings plugged into an electric heating device is going to be senseless! The battery would be constantly empty! 😂It is far better to simply dress in high quality down 🦆 🪿 clothing and be warm 🥵 and cozy throughout winter for free. I have never used a heater.

A simple & effect way I find is hot water bottles .kept me warm sleeping overnight in vans in winter plus can use the tepid water in the morning to wash with.

You need to remove the paper from the plug...😀

Now make a video showing how long you could run a diesel heater.then you could really open people’s eyes it’s ridiculous how many hours you can get off a 2000w.

oooooo... we got noticed at the NEC everyone!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Let me guess jackery sent u these batteries

You can get a couple of 12v 100ah lifepo4 batteries from about £180 and an inverter and chargers for half the price of the  Explorer 2000 v2. Another option, especially if money is tight. 😀

Want to sleep hot... lowest power... get a heating blanket... a 70w one will get you really hot for 8h...

Seems like a great option to me for keeping things cozy while you’re awake, or for supplemental heat in an emergency ☺️

My camper already has a comprehensive electrical installation. If I were to be given one of these, I honestly don't know when or where I would ever use it.

Did you know you can tie the two together and get 3k wh? Use the 12 volt accessory plug and plug the other end into to other input of the other. While the one power station is being drained, the other will top it off. Yes, I've done it.

one point you failed to mention.   I would imagine that oil radiator is a class 1  device with an earth wire in the plug.   Jackery portable power stations are designed to output floating AC voltage and are generally suitable only for Class II (double-insulated) devices—not Class I or Class III devices. They do not provide protective earth grounding, which is critical for certain equipment types.  Caveat emptor.  If you touched the metal casing of that radiator which could become live in a fault condition you would act as a direct path for the current to flow and may even kill you.  For some reason inverter and power bank manufacturers never detail this issue.  Microwaves, actifrys,  toasters etc. are generally  all class 1 devices with earth wires in the plugs. Have a look at all the device labels.  If you do use them make sure everyone is aware of the dangers.

i rate these panel heaters Blaupunkt Electric Panel Heater 400-450w..i picked one up on ebay nearly new £16

I live in the SF Bay Area just about 45 minutes I-680 from Jackery and I wanted to get one and support a local company, but at the time they were still stuck back in the lithium ion mode while everybody else had moved to the LiFePO units. I ended up going with the Bluetti and have been happy with it. The AC 200 max.

These power stations are a life saver. I have a few and 12v 300ah battery with a3k inverter plus solar panel,MPPT ect. I’m basically off grid but in a small way. But yes these things are a life saver literally.
