This is Better Than Wolves Nightmare Mode, its a addon to the better than wolves mod, and is by far the hardest thing I have ever attempted. I'm sad I couldn't upload more junior year, but this year was a whole different level of difficult from what I'm used to, and it resulted in things taking longer.

Hi, dev here! Loved the video - I wasn’t expecting a surprise upload like this, but here we are! :D
It’s always awesome seeing another playthrough of my mod on YouTube. I never imagined it would catch on the way it did.
I have to admit, it’s a little funny (and slightly embarrassing!) looking back at the older versions of Nightmare Mode - it's tough to properly test a 200-hour mod while also building it, lol. Exploits are kind of inevitable at that stage.

This video was mostly played on v0.1.9, and since then there have been 8 major updates and even an April Fools patch. Most of the exploits used in the video were patched pretty soon after they were found - though I did enjoy watching how easy the Wither used to be :P

Thanks so much for playing the mod! I genuinely enjoyed watching your run.

Also for anyone watching: the mod’s definitely harder now. Beyond fixing those exploits, I’ve raised the mob cap and patched a bug (seen in this video) that could cause caves to spawn nearly empty.

Your parents are probably right. I reocmmend a mixed strategy of a regular job during the day and a youtube career in your free time. Quite the day job when YT takes off

17:04 its hemp.
the stuff we used to use for basically everything from flags to rugs, garments, tarps, etc. its the cannabis flowers male counterpart and does not possess the chemicals to induce a drugged state

You enter the final portal after beating both dragons. A new world beings. "Easy mode complete, normal mode begins."

"come back here you flying rat, im gonna give you a dinner date with god" is one of the funniest and most raw lines i did not expect from a Minecraft challenge video

Cool thing about Better Than Wolves is there’s no cheating, it’s not a option. So it’s a little more entertaining knowing this is fully legit.

1:09 considering how long installation took the “Am I Dreaming?” flavor text is pretty fitting

Fun fact, a vast majority of the base Better then wolves mod was made in a week by FlowerChild well over 10 years ago because they were mad Notch was spending too much time just to add wolves and wanted to prove that you can "do way better in that time"

basically the same as modern people complaining that mojang is taking months for like...2 barely useful items and one mob everyone will forget exists in a week except FlowerChild actually decided to do something about it

31:19 Isn’t it funny how the mod made to be as hard as possible made one of the most annoying mechanics in Vanilla Minecraft more tolerable?

17:30 the hemp used for ropes is legal everywhere I know of, and is distinct from the hemp grown for chemicals, both medicinal and recreational.

Hey you better subscribe and join the discord! Also if the audio is weird at (7:43 - 8:27 9:03 - 10:59) its cuz I got copywritten even though I checked and I shouldn't have. All this mean is that u can either skip through some mediocre ah audio or just thug it out. (also I'm not pinning this cuz the dev has a way better comment)
