Somewhere there is a group of giants sitting around a fire telling stories of the great chief thunderbeard’s battle with a warband of dwarves.

Am i the only one who goes straight to comments before watching the video? Lots of interesting stories here..

I'm Afghan American. I asked my in-laws that were from the mountainous regions of Afghanistan, whether tales of giants were common. My mother-in-law looked me square in the eye and told me "there's a lot more in those mountains than just giants."

Also, the people are Afghans not Afghanis. An Afghani is currency. It's like calling an American a dollar.

Even in 29 palms we've had weird things go on. 2 of my friends were road guards at the entrance to a live fire range we were training at. They were about a mile out at the entrance and had their own LAV-25 for transport. The 2nd night we were out there, they were inside heating up MRE's and trying to stay warm in the desert winter. They heard something approaching them thinking it was leadership trying to enter the range on foot. Before they could look out of the sight glass, the whole vehicle lightly shook. They thought it was someone pranking them. Then the 12 1/2 ton vehicle violently shook. They felt like it was about to tip over. They had rifles but no ammo. So they didn't dare step outside. After the shaking stopped, they looked out of all sights trying to see what the hell shook a 12 ton vehicle (they're rated at 14 tons when fully loaded). One of them claimed to have seen a dark figure over 9 feet tall walking away. They turned the vehicle on to use the optics out of the turret. They didn't get to fully see it as it vanished in the hillside of the entrance. They stood up all night trying to get someone to bring them ammo. Our leadership thought they were trying to prank them but they legit wanted it in a report. Weird shit happened there tok when the Army Air Corps used to own that mikitary installation before being sold to the Marine Corps. I've even witnessed an active volcanic crater (active as in warm all the time from thermal vents) that kept joshua trees alive in its pit then conpletely vanished the day after. Not even the roots remained. The high desert of California is a creepy place.

I love how Snopes claimed to have "debunked" the story of the Kandahar giant after they asked the Department of Defense because they denied it.

I deployed to Iraq in 2005 and we of course stopped in Kuwait to do a two week climatize lay over. Another soldier and I got tasked to go clear a part of the  desert for Bedouin’s or camels or anything that could be hit when we did our live fire excessive. We came over a small dune and basically went nose first in to the beginning of a very very large cave type hole. There was an extremely huge black serpent looking creature not even 25 meters away from us just inside this opening. It was humungous. Shiny black with yellowish like eyes. The only thing I can compare it to is the black dragon from “train your dragon” ( one of my kids favorite movies lol ) anyway when we came up on this thing it shook violently which caused sand to come down in all directions and it was gone… we drove back in silence, tried to tell the PL but he was so lost in the task at hand he barley even listened. True story man! I know people will say I’m bs’ing but whatever. Saw some crazy sht in Afganistán as well. Old countries have old secrets.

I see Kandahar giant thumbnail, I click.

I am a combat infantry veteran who saw a very large person through a CROW systems thermal that was mounted on top of the vehicle I was in. This was in the kandahar region in 2011.

fun fact: if you get the feeling of "being watched" you are. what has happened is that you have seen whatever it is watching you, but your brain hasn't processed what it is.    i.e. friend or foe. so your brain alerts you to keep you on your toes. if it approaches you, you will automatically swing the direction your brain last "saw" it.

I love that there's no cheap horror here. The atmosphere is thick and spooky thanks to great art, acting and sound design

Imagine the undocumented ones, the ones that,".. nah im not talking about it. They'll think im crazy.." ones

What's very fascinating is that I'm First Nations and we have stories of Cannibal Caucasian Giants with long hair and beards, six fingers and two rows of teeth that lived in the mountains east of the Ohio River Valley up until around 500 years ago  that our ancestors used to go to war with and several rival tribes eventually teamed up to kill them because they were all sick of being preyed on by them.

I did light long-range reconnaissance deep in the mountains of Afghanistan for a couple years. I mean very remote, hundreds of miles from any power or roads. My whole platoon experienced crazy events and animals. Including two pterodactyls that flew over us for the first few days on an OP we had established. My whole team watched them as they flew over us, getting quite close, for days. They looked exactly the same as what you would see in a dinosaur book, except they weren't like 70 feet across, more like a 10-foot wingspan. The red coloring is called henna, the same stuff Hindu women use to paint temporary tattoo like designs on their skin. It is a religious/cultural practice, the Afghan men also stain their hands with henna.

I am a native of Kandahar. When I was a child, this was a famous saying to scare us. If you do this bad thing ( Dew) mean gaint creature will come from mountain and eat you.  This was even heard from old men in many parts of Kandahar. Repeated form generation to generation. I don't know if it's a myth or a fact.

I had a retired Black Water contractor tell me he has saw 4k drone footage of giants being bombed/missile at the border small of Afghanistan and China.

I spoke to a man who told me he was captured by enemy forces in Afghanistan he said they were irritable and barely slept. They were terrified of giants living in the mountains near their base. Him and others were freed after a few months because one of these giants attacked their base in the night killing all the soldiers. Another prisoner had got out somehow and opened the cells they were kept in. On their way to safety (wherever that was) this guy was pointing out dead soldiers and dark spots and saying "look what it did to them!" And "that must be it's blood.
When they finally got back to their allies they were told they had to sign NDA's saying they couldn't talk about it.

There's every chance this was just a tall tale. But honestly I couldn't decide what to believe. He had nothing to gain just telling me this story and he was very sincere and open about my doubts. He said if it didn't happen to him he would never have believed it either. Very interesting.

The reason for seing indians raise their right hands to one another and greet each other by saying the word how in old western movies is because Indian consultants that were hired on the movie sets would tell the Director that this was the true way and traditions of Indians going back hundreds of years. The reason this way of greeting a stranger existed was to identify each others hands and determine how many fingers the person had because if they had six fingers it meant descendents of Giants were around and it was time to beware of the Giant cannibals.

In the book of ENOCH it talks not just about the giants, but also the fallen angels doing things with animals as well. This opens up the question of strange creatures inside of the earth, dragons, serpent beings, centaurs, Loch Ness or Nessy, Mermaids, Mermen, Okanagan Lake British Columbia:  Ogopogo another Lake Monster, and the list goes on

As a US Army vetetan , i served from '88 to 96' . I can only say this ... even after signing papers , those secrets are hard to keep ! I wasn't even active duty but , i started hearing stories about giants around 2004 ?

I am from Afghanistan and Growing up our grand parents use to tell us stories about their grandparents how they use to take their goats to the mountain and tie it for the "Dyyo" Giant. Now watching this i got goosebumps😅
