The death of Isabelle Caracristi, a 22-year-old law student, is being investigated in Fortaleza (CE). The young woman was found dead after falling from a height of more than 70 meters from the building where she lived with her boyfriend, João Munhoz Neto, a 34-year-old lawyer.
Isabelle's family accuses João of contributing to the tragic end of the relationship, which was allegedly marked by psychological abuse.
The tragedy occurred on September 13, 2026, but the relationship between Isabelle and João had begun months earlier, after the two became close during an internship at a law firm. Messages found on the young woman's cell phone indicate that she expressed feelings of threat and control by her boyfriend.
On the night of the incident, video surveillance cameras recorded Isabelle going up alone in the elevator to the penthouse of the building. Hours earlier, she and João had been filmed together in the condominium.
In an interview, João denied the accusations of abuse and psychological pressure and stated that he never intended to harm Isabelle. Investigations continue as the young woman's family seeks answers regarding the circumstances that led to her death.
