Hey everyone! It has come to my attention that a YouTuber by the name of KMD has a crazy similar video to this one. If you’d like more thoughts on the topic, check it out! https://youtu.be/WqiqMcnffSE?is=DhxC6Db4n1o_u55V

I can promise you, the thoughts and conclusions of my video are my own and I do not steal my content, but I hope you can watch his too! It’s great!

The idea is really great, as a BHVR employee I'll make sure that it will never be in game

2:54 Not Everyone thinks Running around in Circles is the best thing about DBD ... some of us play more for the Stratigic Marco side of DBD over the Micro.

I think the main problem with this idea is that you're just basically guaranteeing the 4k for killers that are good in chase while screwing over those whose strength lies elsewhere, you're never gonna win that endgame 1v1 against any competent blight or nurse, and good luck if you're a ghostface or a trapper.

Bro was a bite by night demon

Dude that would be so much fun if they did do something like that instead of hatch. W idea

idk about teleporting them to an arena, that would make every LMS feel kinda the same.

I think a better system would be the EGC starts, and the survivor’s location is given away through killer instinct and it’s revealed again whenever the killer is over 32m away. the survivor is healed and given endurance permanently until they receive deep wound.

once 30 seconds remains in the EGC timer, the timer slows down as if someone was down, and 3 hatches open up, one in main, one in shack, and one at the furthest location from the exit gates, and the exit gates also open up. the location of the hatches is revealed to the survivor and the killer. I think 3 health states for 90 seconds + getting to hatch is fair. Maps that do not have shack or main usually have hatch locations that act as shack or main (so if u brought a hatch offering it would spawn at those places) so it will spawn there instead. Killers can still close the hatches but it is mostly pointless

Left behind would also need a rework because of this, so what left behind will do instead is it gives you 1% haste during last man standing for every 45 gen charges you repaired (so it gains 1 stack for every half a gen u complete) and hides the aura of hatches from the killer. It also as a secondary effect gives you a 15% speed boost for 5 seconds when a survivor is hooked for every stack you have

It would be even cooler if instead of taking survivors to the void you could instead be taken to a void like environment visually themed for the killer you play against. Gideon for Pig, Haddonfield for Myers, The Exile for Judgement, Badham boiler room for Freddy etc.

what’s up it’s me john behaviour we’re adding this now thx

its the best idea for endgame ive heard yet, also ur vids are really fun to watch, cant wait to see ur channel grow!!

5:51 Yeah I was thinking about having them get put into the void, too

The game was intended to be a hide and seek type of game btw. [Initially] Also this last man standing would only work with certain killers, behaviour would have either balance the killers [ what is trapper gonna do] and timer [Nurse for 60 seconds MINIMUM is just unlucky] for this. [Judgement would probably struggle here]

0:20 I actually disagree but that might just be how my dark and twisted mind works

I have to disagree with the Halloween area being a good final stand location. That was a hella survivor sided area and now you wanna give survivor a 50 second escape which is easy on the Halloween realm and worst part killer can't just leave they have to chase into a I saw the aura of the pallets and windows there with the windows perk. You are kidding if you think that would be fair. placing them on any other map and placing pallets and more obstacles is insane. it just becomes Hold w pre drop simulator until timer runs out. Hatch is an infinitely better mechanic then this idea. Also you mentioned about Laurie Hiding in Halloween she already did that in the movies to avoid being killed by Myers. She Famously hides in a closet inside the Wallace house to evade Michael Myer the whole hide and avoid the killer or slasher is in all Horror movies its a huge thing. DBD is a Horror survival game as well as a Asymmetrical game yes lets take away the horror mechanic from a wait for it HORROR GAME. Makes no sense

if you play as a killer without mobility it can be really miserable. had matches where the surv leaves me searching for hatch like a roomba cleaning up the swamp map sitting at the gate like im a fuckin maid

Idk, your solution kinda sucks. Being transported to a different map to play a different game to finish off the one you were just playing is never a good idea. It'd make me afk more than I already do with the current system. (I'm the person that tabs out when getting exiled and wants struggle skillchecks removed).

Personally, all you need to do is start the endgame timer when it gets to 1 person alive. You can throw hatch in there too if you want so that the killer can't just camp gates, but the main issue with endgame is that its boring to play out normally but adding different rules makes it feel too disconnected from everything else. (edit) The other thing you could do is just lock in bloodpoints on the third kill so that no-one gets anything afterwards. Not giving incentive to drag out the match is about the only other thing you could do to make it less tedious.

For lms, maybe instead of making a mini map they could make it so both the survivor and the killer can see each other’s aura for the 30 seconds of the lms or until they get close enough to each other. The the killer is given that one perk you mentioned, and the survivor has to survive for up to 2 minutes. If the survivor reaches a finished generator they could interact with it to make the timer go down by 20 seconds while also receiving a slight speed boost for 1.5 seconds BUT it reveals their aura and also gives the killer a speed boost dependent on their distance from the survivor. When the timer ends, both exit gates open, and a hatch spawns in the basement and automatically opens after 12 seconds have passed post timer (in case both exits are un accessible the survivor has an option to escape).
That is how I would rework lms in dbd. Good video, kinda predictable with bbn inspiration but still good.

As it stands now, I always just alt-tab out to YouTube after the third sacrifice since there is objectively no reason to kill the fourth Survivor. I already won, may as well let the last Survivor get a smattering of extra BP out of their loss.

I understand your points, but friend, using Bite by Night's system sounds awful, making a completely different game while there could be better different solutions is not the greatest idea.
I just feel like using other asyms is not the way to go, even if they follow similar things they are completely different games with completely different mechanics, DBD is the grandmother of asyms, there are thousand perks, over 30+ killers, the game's design have evolved in very small ways bercause DBD has a flawed design at it's core that somehow works quite well.
The idea that chase is the "core of the game", honestly, as a killer main, It's not even close, because in a coordinated team, hiding can be EXTREMELY strong, because DBD has 30+ killers who all exceed at different things, there are chase killers, stealth killers, trap killers, snipping killers, info killers, control killers, and because of that you need different strategies for different killers bc it's not every killer that is all about chase, and incentivizing only a single class of them to get a 4k will only make the boring meta of chase killers even more frustrating and kill even more the old killers and essentialy cripple different killer styles from existing because different killers would be less and less appealing.
Am I saying there doesn't need change? Definetly not, there needs change, DBD are in desperate need of changes in countless areas and the fact that people started to actualy realize that our current 1 vs 1 after 3 surv deaths can be reeeeally frustrating is a BIG head start and I am glad I saw a video pointing out it's flaws, but I'm sorry to say that I completely disagree with your suggestions, I think there needs to be more discussions and ideas that work around DBD's design instead of trying to get ideas from other asyms.

Ngl base kit unbreakable gotta remove their offhook protections, because no way I'm “tunneling” at 2 survivors left at that point of the match 🙏
