"Did you know that after the heart stops beating, the brain can function for well over seven minutes? We got 6 more minutes to play” Yeah I know that’s from the 2010 reboot, but come on guys, that is one hell of a line! For anyone that’s confused, that’s one of the many chilling lines delivered by none other than horror icon Freddy Krueger. The creepy, burned-faced man with steel claws who will make you deathly afraid of falling asleep. But for a whole multitude of reasons, the 2010 reboot simply couldn’t capture the magic of the original. And I know one of the reasons is because we’re kind of tired of unoriginal reboots and sequels and remakes and whatnot. We’ve seen this happen with almost every horror franchise ever. They milk it till it goes stale.
