You'll be all right!

Hello my beautiful friend.. first, Congratulations on 1.15 MILLION friends 🎉🎉❤❤❤
I'm so happy you popped up on my feed. I'm sad to see you look so sad and in pain.
Not being able to do what you love, is not going to be good.. but I promise you we will still be here, keep watching your videos and rooting for ya!
Let the Dr's do what needs to be done, and help ease that pain.
Pain is so depleting.  Mentally,  Physically and Emotionally 🥺
I love you, I send you soft hugs and hope there is a light at the end of this scary tunnel...

I have had carpal tunnel surgery both hands, most recently just 2 wks ago on my left hand . Have had duputryn’s contracture surgery too, right hand. My hands feel great! Recovery was maybe one month. I also had my trigger finger released at the same time. You will be fine and I still crochet everyday. You are young and you will recuperate quickly! I hope this helps you make a decision for yourself!

Oh Crystal I’m crying here for you! My heart goes out to you. I know that crochet is everything to you. It’s like therapy. I can say that I do know people that have done the surgery and have had success going back to their previous work and lives. Please consider it. But I will say to you. Whatever you post we will watch! We are here for you! We will support you and continue to buy your yarn and mystery boxes. ❤stay strong

Crystal you have a huge community that loves you and has your back! Whatever you decide to do everyone will be there cheering you on! ❤

Crystal, whatever you choose to do, surgery or no, know that we are all praying for you and wishing you the best! You have such an incredible amount of knowledge of both yarn and crochet that I have no doubt that you will find a way to use all that knowledge to continue to make a living (without doing more damage to your body)! I love your tutorials, but you have enough of those out to keep us happy for years. I love your yarn reviews even more! I always learn so much about yarn watching them, but maybe you can find some other way to teach us all about yarns. Just know that we are all out here and will be supporting you however you move forward! You’ve made a lot of yarn friends for life! Thank you so much for all that you’ve taught us. We’ll all be here pulling for you as you move forward, supporting you in whatever way you choose to more forward!

My husband and his family have all struggled with dupytres contraction. My husband was also scared of surgery and put it off for years. His fingers curled worse and worse. He finally had the surgery and it was fine but he had waited so long it was only partially successful. His younger brother had surgery much quicker and had much better results. Surgery is scary, but is effective. Whatever you decide I wish you the very best. Oh, they also had him do some physical therapy which helped. Good luck and much support.

I've been following you for years, Crystal. Your videos are never boring!!! You feel like a part of my family, and I love all your videos! Love hearing from you.

Hey Crystal.  I had cubital & carpal tunnel at the same time in my left elbow & wrist from repetitive motion.  I let it go for a couple years.  I ended up having the surgery for both at the same time because the pain became too much of a problem.  The surgery went very well & ive had no issues with either the 26 years since the surgery.  Yeah it's scary & the recuperation is inconvenient to put it mildly.  But it was so worth it.  I didn't want to give up what I was doing.  So give it serious thought.  True, your experience might not be like mine.  But the pain was relieved immediately & I've been able to continue doing what I love.  Hang in there.  Love your videos!!!

I've had 3 surgeries on my hands.  1 was a ganglion cyst removal.   It was in an odd place on my dominant hand  sitting on a nerve so I lost my ability to grip cups, crochet hooks, pens, etc.  I've also had carpal tunnel surgery in both hands.  There was a great amount of relief after each of those.  Recovery took a little time but was completely worth it.

Your community loves you and your creations and will support you in whatever you choose to do.  Just please keep in mind that not all surgeries are bad.

I had surgery for cubital nerve injury when I got run over crossing the road. It was easy peasy and fixed the numbness in my fingers. Hope you feel better. Don’t fear surgery. It’s not a difficult recovery at all. I don’t even notice the scar where it is. Take care of you! Much love! ❤🙏🏻🥹

Whatever your decision we are here. Sending prayers you will feel better. Thank you for all the beautiful tings I’ve made following your tutorials.

It’s true that some people deal with worse things, but that doesn’t negate your fear and your feelings, sweetheart.  My heart just aches for you.  So many of us love you and have your back, whatever you decide.  ❤❤❤.

I just want to hug you and tell you it's all going to be okay. Whatever you decide to do, you need to put your health first. You will always be a part of the crochet community and you have all the love and support from us.

Holding you in my prayers, Crystal, as you navigate this season. Thank you for all you have done for the yarn community. I have learned so much from you.

My mother and grandfather also had the contraction in their later years. Neither did routine activities that were repeated motions or stressful to hands and fingers. After reading all the great and hopeful comments here about surgery, I wish I could have advised them to have it. All is not lost! Some go back to crochet after recovery. I  understand the fears for sure, but you're young and there's no need to cave into hopelessness after the initial shock wears off. Pray on it.

My heart is heavy, praying for you. I know you will continue to be awesome in whatever you do.  My grandmother had the same issue with her hand from working all her life in embroidery.  After many many years she had the surgery and did well, as a kid I never knew why her fingers were like they were, this was a long long time ago. Let me end this with a saying from a dear friend “ YOU GOT THIS”.!   Sending hugs, saying prayers …. 💜

I had Carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand about 10 years ago and still have no issues.  I also had my Ulna nerve moved in my right elbow and have no problems since.  Good luck with whatever decision you make.  You are in my thoughts

I have been watching you for years. You have taught me more than anyone about crochet and yarn. Your heart is what keeps bringing me back to you. I am praying for you  and sending buckets of love.  ♥️

Crystal I’ll be praying 🙏 for you!   I shattered my elbow by falling off an unmarked curb. Most painful surgery I ever went through and I’ve had numerous surgeries.
I know surgery is scary for some people but usually it’s very worth it. No one can make a decision for another person.  I hope you’re able to continue dying yarn 🧶 and make a living from that!    You’re still the best channel to learn and create crochet 🧶 items from. Thank you for all your tutorials and yarn reviews.  You’re amazing!!!👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉🎉🎉🧶🧶🧶🥰🥰🥰
