This is my favorite video I’ve ever made. I hope you all kick back and enjoy a trip down memory lane. Please like to support. I need YouTube to pick this story up. More coming soon so if you’re new subscribe. Peace & love y’all!
Out of the whole battle, that “why believe you? You never gave us nothing to believe in” hit the hardest. That is an absolute tear down of another human being
There’s no way Drake and Cole believed that popping off about things Kendrick takes seriously—his music, his legacy, his privacy, his family, his community, his reputation, his LIFE, etc—would lead to anything except war.
Drake is a pox on Hip Hop. I hope the UMG lawsuit clears him out of the genre forever.
My favorite part of the beef that i never see people talk about is Kendrick on "Like That" being a hidden feature. How regular people and reactors who were for the first time listening to that album cause they like and want to hear Future got shook when Kendrick popped out of nowhere.
Its one of the main reasons I love hidden features.
J.Cole was what Drake was supposed to be. J.Cole wasn’t bothered by the criticisms thrown at him, he continued to work his ass off while keeping the purity of Hiphop and didn’t have to accommodate to pop like Drake did. His own label helps artists grow and improve their art, unlike Drake who uses up and comers to be his ghostwriters.
J.Cole is what Drake thinks he is, but Drake can’t come close to the respect and love J.Cole received from the culture and the contributions he has done for Hip-hop.
"For me, Euphoria was the real knock out blow" Sir, you're absolutely right! Family Matters did not touched Euphoria at all, but as you said, people are slow so he had to f him up like he did
Key Part you’re missing is Kendrick essentially showing to have Cole’s back or empathy. There’s a line in NLU he says “Did Cole foul, don’t know why you’re pretending”
I think you're forgetting one thing regarding drake and the pusha T beef.
Drake went out of his way to bury the story of adidon. Remember it had almost 40mil views on youtube before drake got UMG to get it removed off youtube. And that was the first month! He also had pulled strings regarding pusha Tour aswell.
I definitely believe it effected drake. Just not public opinion.
I love KDot because I relate to him. I think a lot of people do. He is chaotic good. An analyst, and artist. He is authentic and he is a visionary. It’s an art. Something he himself probably can’t analyze but that people feel because it’s real.
