Some advice to survive:
-Stomp the bodies of monsters you kill. After you kill them you can stomp the body to destroy it completly for more loot.
-All your resources (health, stasis, etc.) are displayed on Isaac's back (circular gauge to the right of spine is stasis).
-Shooting hands of is faster, but more risky.

The fact that one necromorph dropped a large health kit tells me the devs make it intentional cause large health kits are very late game should make it fair though for the impossible diffuculty.

Hey, Cyn, one of the biggest differences between this remake and the original 2008 verions of "Dead Space" is that in the original version of this game, Isaac never spoke

tbh i startet doing hardest diff in games after watching your prey playhtrough. made me appreciate having to be a lot more careful since most normal diff lets you steamroll.

the premise of Dead Space is as follows (no spoilers don't worry, only background fluff): The year is 2507, Earth has gone through an "extinction-level" event and so as part of this mankind are now exploring the galaxy looking for new resources to harvest in order to survive. they have developed a type of mining practice called Planetcracking which is performed by a company called CEC (Concordance Extraction Corporation). The CEC developed MASSIVE ships called Planetcracker Vessels and their purpose is to break open planets that otherwise are deemed useless and harvest resources and minerals from the planet. The biggest Planetcracker ship is the USG Ishimura...she is the best and most famous, for humanity losing the Ishimura would be a huge problem... recently all contact with her has been lost and no one knows why. You are Isaac Clarke a CEC Engineer and you are part of a five person rescue crew that has been dispatched to investigate and find out what is wrong with the Ishimura. Good luck...and let's see how well you do.
Also couple of interesting bits of trivia: when this game was first released on the 360 it was one of the first games that came out...much like the 360 version of Bioshock. Also it had the song "twinkle twinkle little star" in the trailer and a lot of people still associate that song with Dead Space.

USG Ishimura: has built in, ship-wide "hazardous anomaly detection and quarantine system" to lock out rooms with potential hazards.

Also Ishimura: Elevator doors slam shut hard enough to bisect a human.

The remake has this nifty thing called an Intensity director. It will do everything from increasing creepy sounds, to turning on and off lights, malfunctions, and random necro encounters.  Almost no place is safe since you can be attacked at any time. 😊
