Frog is going to make zero dollars from this video, but he deserves it since he’s never watched Scooby-Doo.

Using “committing Canadian healthcare” as a euphemism for suicide had me dying

Fun fact: There IS a checkpoint in Dead Space 2 during Hardcore mode. It is chapter 7 before you have to go up the solar relay (usually the moment in the game when you have to swap to disc 2) This applies both physical and digital versions of the game

There’s a “Clever Girl” achievement attached to the velociraptor enemies, so definitely true.

"Unlike a minecraft youtuber I didn't slide into their DMs after" lmao frog, nice vid buddy

At 24:53 he died to the door closing on him, you see on the very left it come in and smack him. :(
Rip so close to deathless over the big door closing and backing up into it.

15:50 you can avoid this fight entirely. Speedrun trick is to just run around the room in circles, looking down at the ground, waiting for the door to open. The reason you look down the entire time is because necromorphs will only start sprinting if you look at them. They'll stay in their "sneaking" state otherwise.

It's my favorite perma death mode. Extremely unforgiving but fair since you get 3 "tactical" saves. In doom ultra nightmare for example one single death restarts your whole run which is more frustrating than difficult. Dead space hardcore keeps that constant pressure of dying without being too punishing.

Also I died in the exact same room the exact same way, it was my only death in the run too. That room is cursed apparently.

For anyone new to Dead Space 2, none of the areas have infinite spawns except holding the door to get into the CEC facility. Except that one place, you can take out every enemy and make the area safe to explore and loot. Even in the final sections with the regenerator guy, you can kill all the other necromorphs until it's just him left to bother you.

DLC suits are just a PC auto unlock, people found out the DLC was on the disc but not accessible and EA just released them for free as a result.
It was one nice thing they did, then DS3 had talking bot packs for £4.50.

It’s a shame we’ll never get a remake of this masterpiece.

I want to be made whole.

I saw this achievement 14 years ago when it first came out and said, "lol, nah." And to this day, the finger gun is still the goofiest weapon I've never unlocked.

If you slow it down at 23:14, he actually was taken to red health, he just healed immediately and didn't notice.

Yeah I got killed by the debris at the end when Ellie tries to save you. That was the most tilted I ever got at a video game.

Calling it before I finish watching the video. Expecting 3 total deaths, with the first being in chapter 8

Update: He’s just him

Reason why you died, simple: games don't like it when you're doing too good on their hardest difficulty, so they pull a "here, have some bullshit. On the house".

1:13 I GOT AN AD RIGHT AFTER THE CREDIT ROLL BIT THAT WAS COMEDY GOLD

Committing Canadian healthcare almost made me spit up my froot loops.

Random tips:

-The spawns are never truly infinite, Chapters 13-15 are pretty crazy though so I do not recommend ever sticking around longer than necessary

ch 2: you can start punching the Leaper as it's climbing for an easy kill
ch 6: I believe there are 3 Pregnants and 6 Leapers total before you can safely access the store
ch 7: the Detonator is a godsend for the tripod elevator since it one-shots them. Also great for every Stalker encounter, Zero-G enemies because the shots go completely straight, and anytime you can predict when Necromorphs will show up.
Also, you can run around the edge of the room during the big vacuum fight at the end and nothing will catch up to you. Saves a ton of ammo and damage.
ch 10: you can Kinesis one of the crates the first Brute is hiding behind from a distance to avoid getting knocked down. This section is also significantly easier if you stay all the way at beginning of the hall when enemies start spawning in after both Brutes, you can see them coming from a long way.
For the cursed Leaper section, camp next to the top of the lift and all the enemies will single-file to that spot, either by jumping their or climbing through the vent
Ch 15: contact beam is the best weapon for the final boss to get through it quickly
