Shi Zhiyong owes  a great respect to Liao Hui
Bakk in 2010 Liao Hui was banned for 2 years because of doping violation then he Returned in a magnificent way confirming his Supremacy over Shi Zhiyong in the Chinese nationals in 2016 where he beat Shi Zhiyong to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio

And here come the politics: Because of his former doping ban the Chinese weightlifting federation decided Liao Hui not to be send to Rio
They send instead 23yrs old Shi Zhiyong since his results were pretty close to that of the olympic champion from Beijing Liao Hui
in Rio Shi Zhiyong won with a total of 352kg which gave him mUch recognition and mental power so the next year in the Chinese nationals in 2017 for the first time in his career Shi Zhiyong beat Liao Hui with a total of 358kg against 354 of Liao Hui, that day Shi Zhiyong made a significant performance and jerked 198 kg for a world record in 69 kg  class
Even after Shi Zhiyong gained 4 kg of muscles moving to 73 kg, he could not jerk more than this 198 kg
